"We're just going to wait to see where we're at in a couple weeks. All those things will play itself out. You've got to start somewhere with a lineup. Then you kind of adjust and adapt as it goes and as players go, kind of similar to last year." Acuna himself expressed a desire to stay at the top, where he did his best work, statistically, in his Rookie of the Year campaign in 2018. At leadoff, Acuna hit .328/.409/.634. It would also likely help his stolen base total, as he was much less apt to run when not at the top of the lineup. It's a situation to watch as camp progresses.
5431817 Sat, 16 Feb 2019 17:14:13 EDT rotoworld Wants to remain at leadoff
Acuna said Saturday that he wants to remain in the leadoff spot this season, Mark Bowman of reports.

Acuna led off the Braves' first game after the All-Star break last year and remained in that spot for each of his appearances the rest of the season. Recent reports suggested that manager Brian Snitker intended to use Acuna as the team's cleanup hitter going forward, but Snitker said Saturday that the young phenom could get his wish. The fact that the outfielder is talented enough to be a strong candidate for either spot obviously matters more than where exactly he hits, but his place in the batting order will have an effect on his runs and RBI. Hitting leadoff would be slightly preferable for fantasy purposes as it would come with a handful of more plate appearances overall.
5431810 Sat, 16 Feb 2019 16:56:27 EDT RotoWire Acuna set to smash records this season Those hoping to watch Ronald Acuna Jr. extend last season's incredible post-All-Star break production should remember that his pace would have equated to 45 homers and 33 stolen bases over 162 games. 5430495 Wed, 13 Feb 2019 18:00:02 EDT Official Atlanta Braves Acuna, Braves enter spring looking to repeat 2018 success ATLANTA (AP) - Ronald Acuna Jr. helped the Atlanta Braves accelerate their rebuilding schedule in 2018, when they were the surprise NL East champions.
