Spin: San Diego spotted Mitchell four runs in the top of the first, but Colorado immediately rallied to tie the game with a pair of two-run homers in the bottom of the frame. Mitchell settled down after that and allowed just one additional run throughout the remainder of his outing, but wasn't able to stick around long enough for the Padres' nine-run seventh that would've given him his first win of the season. The 27-year-old has struggled with his control thus far, issuing 19 walks in 25 innings while notching just nine strikeouts en route to a 5.76 ERA. He'll look to have a more consistent outing when he faces the Mets at home in his next scheduled start on April 29.]]> 5198410 Tue, 24 Apr 2018 0:14:18 EDT
