Denver Broncos TE Owen Daniels has mostly been used as a blocker to help a struggling offensive line, but he has caught touchdown passes in back-to-back games. Daniels expects more two-tight end formations with one running back because those plays have been the most successful for them this year. That formation is also a staple of head coach Gary Kubiak's offenses. Daniels is also expecting to see the ball more when the run game starts to succeed. 'I think we can get him involved more,' Kubiak said. 'That's a nice problem to have. You're trying to get those guys touches so they can affect the football game.' The Broncos face the Oakland Raiders in Week 5, and Oakland has allowed an NFL-most 388 yards and six touchdowns to tight ends in four games this year.
A surprisingly shaky start on offense is not quite what tight end Owen Daniels expected when he signed a three-year, $12 million deal with the Broncos in March.
