Not a surprise, unfortunately, but it is believed to be a torn Achilles for Jermaine Johnson, source says. He'll have an MRI to confirm.
@RapSheet: The #Jets have already declared LB Jermaine Johnson out with an Achilles injury.

Missing today's game against the Titans means holdout edge rusher Haason Reddick will forfeit the chance to earn roughly another $800,000, bringing his losses this season in fines, unearned salary and bonus forfeiture to about $8 million. espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...
No idea how Calvin Ridley came down with this for a 40-yard TD. Sauce Gardner and Chuck Clark were both there.
@MySportsUpdate: Aaron Rodgers finds Breece Hall for a TD and the #Jets have taken the lead over Tennessee. https://t.co/JjAgE3m0K5 https://t.co/ioHnAbxwwY
L'Jarius Sneed is shadowing Garrett Wilson today and it's working. Wilson has 2 catches for 22 yards (and neither catch was when Sneed was on him).

The Jets got to 1-1 after a tough win over a gritty Tennessee Titans team in Week 2, giving them some momentum heading into their home opener Thursday against the New England Patriots during Week 3’s “Thursday Night Football” matchup.
Let’s talk some notes from the game.
Offensively, the Jets (1-1) seem to have already figured out how to utilize running backs Breece Hall and Braelon Allen on offense. Hall (14 carries for 62 yards, seven catches for 52 yards and a touchdown) remains the lead back but the rookie Allen (seven carries for 33 yards, two catches for 23 yards and a touchdown) is already solidly in the mix behind him. The two combined for 95 yards on 21 carries as the Jets were able to find success on the ground
They did X so dirty having Olu come in behind him ?

RT: DJ Reed is NOT expected to play today for #Jets, per multiple sources. Would expect Brandin Echols to fill in.
The New York Jets are likely to be without linebacker CJ Mosley the rest of the way against the Tennessee Titans in Week 2.
In the first half of the AFC clash, the Jets lost their starting middle linebacker. Mosley went to the sideline at the end of the first half and did not return to the game.
In the second half, Mosley was spotted on the sideline but the team labeled him as “doubtful” to return.
Replacing Mosley in the lineup was Jamien Sherwood.
Jets Wire will provide updates as information is made available

The start of 2024 is really beginning to feel like the end of the 2023 season for the Pittsburgh Steelers and their quarterbacks. NFL reporter Ian Rapoport reported on the NFL Network pregame that the Steelers want to see how Fields does starting against the Denver Broncos on Sunday but if he can lead the team to 2-0, Fields will keep the starting job.
It’s nothing new for Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin to ride the hot hand at quarterback. Last season, after Kenny Pickett went down with injury, Tomlin eventually turned to Mason Rudolph who won three in a row down the stretch and kept the starting job, even after Pickett was deemed healthy
The Tennessee Titans fell to the New York Jets, 24-17, for their second consecutive loss.
The Titans returned home this week and hoped to wipe out last week’s loss to the Chicago Bears with a win on Sunday, but struggled early and fell behind.
In their efforts to regain control of the game, linebacker Harold Landry III rose to the challenge and exhibited strong play and leadership on the field. The result of his effort is earning Player of the Game honors.
Landry was everywhere on the field against the Jets. He recorded three tackles (two solo), 2.0 sacks, two tackles for a loss, and two passes defensed. When the Jets figured out they needed to contain Landry, it opened the field up to other players to make plays and stops
