Game News
Alvin Kamara now has scored his fourth TD today vs. the Cowboys.
The #Saints will be cautious with star CB Marshon Lattimore, who is questionable with hip and hamstring issues. He's pushing to play, but it's a long season and him being healthy is paramount. He'll workout this morning to see.
RT: Taysom Hill went to the hospital for further evaluation on his chest injury. DA said he thinks more precautionary
Saints already up 28-13, and big pick and return by Paulson Adebo gives them a shot to add to the lead before the break. Ball at the Dallas 20.

— New Orleans Saints (@Saints) September 15, 2024
The New Orleans Saints have made it to Week 2 with a 1-0 record and now are on the road to take on the Dallas Cowboys. With that, we check out our weekly pregame speech from legendary linebacker Demario Davis, who looked to get the team pumped up for this crucial matchup.
A tradition started by none other than Saints legend Drew Brees, the pregame speech was then handed down to another elite player in Demario Davis upon the retirement of Brees after the 2020 season. Davis has been an extremely vocal leader of the Saints on the sideline, and it was only right that this be passed down to him as he continues to get the Saints ready for every game with the same fiery passion as always
The New Orleans Saints have been moving their wide receiver corps around all offseason and preseason, trying to find out the best mix of players for their roster. Ultimately, that led to A.T. Perry being marked as a healthy scratch for Week 2, per ESPN’s Katherine Terrell. This comes after Perry practiced without limitation the whole week, though he missed Week 1’s game due to a hand injury.
This is somewhat surprising after Perry suited up for 10 games last season, starting three, and was impressive in his playing time given. However, in preseason there were times when other players were getting opportunities over him, especially in the game against the San Francisco 49ers
Taliese Fuaga traveled to Dallas. My understanding is that he’ll be a gametime decision.
— Nick Underhill (@nick_underhill) September 14, 2024
Taliese Fuaga traveled to Dallas for Sunday’s Saints game, per New Orleans.Football’s Nick Underhill, but his status will be a game-time decision ahead of kickoff with the Cowboys. Dennis Allen wasn’t concerned that the injury would be a major issue, but he never said Fuaga would play this week. He didn’t shut the door on that possibility, either
The New Orleans Saints decided to name Jake Haener the initial backup quarterback for their Week 1 game against the Carolina Panthers. That will remain the same in Week 2, as Spencer Rattler is technically inactive, but he will remain in the “emergency” QB3 role for the Saints. He won’t get into the game unless both Haener and Derek Caarr are incapacitated.
This comes after a preseason where Rattler showed flashes of impressive play, but maybe not enough to lift himself over Haener, who had an extra season of experience with the team to work with Carr. If Carr goes down the coaches would rather put Haener into a game than the rookie
The Dallas Cowboys are looking to stack good games on top of each other, as former head coach Jason Garrett liked to pronounce. As they prepare to take on the New Orleans Saints in Week 2 of the young 2024 season, they will likely look to their defense to come through for the second-straight contest in hopes that a trend is developing.
Last season, Dallas wasn’t competitive in contests where quarterback Dak Prescott didn’t play a great game. They lost to the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, and Philadelphia. In every one of those games, the Cowboys quarterback played poorly, and the defense couldn’t step up to make the game competitive
I don't know if Cowboys make this a game, but CeeDee Lamb fantasy owners are about to EAT.
Micah Parsons is reportedly content to wait until after the season to get his second contract. Which means that the best defensive player in the NFL will play in 2024 for less than $3 million. nbcsports.com/nfl/profootbal...
RT: A team source tells me #Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson hasn't been officially ruled out yet but he's trending that way. Here on the sidelines at AT&T stadium for pregame we will keep an eye on it. Earlier this week, he told me coaches wanted to see his power on routes and in play and didn't want him out there if he was "60-80 percent" Luke Schoonmaker up next with just 8 receptions last season
