Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua could miss between 5-7 weeks, depending on how quickly his PCL injury heals, per sources. espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...
WHAT A THROW BY STAFFORD TO KUPP
@NFL_DovKleiman: Demarcus Robinson for 42 YARDS!
https://t.co/05Ypd5KzZW https://t.co/zf1fsdJW2a
Before the season started, the Rams’ receiving corps looked like one of the best in the NFL. With a healthy Cooper Kupp and a Puka Nacua in Year 2, there was a ton of hope with this group.
But after two quick weeks, the Rams’ receivers no longer look like a dangerous group. Nacua is on IR with a knee injury and on Sunday afternoon, Kupp hurt his ankle and was spotted in a walking boot after the 41-10 loss.
In the blink of an eye, the Rams could be looking at Demarcus Robinson and either Tyler Johnson, Jordan Whittington or Tutu Atwell as their top two receivers. As disappointing as that is, Matthew Stafford is fully confident in the Rams’ wideouts in the event that Kupp is sidelined
The Arizona Cardinals will face the L.A. Rams in Week 2 Sunday afternoon at State Farm Stadium. Both teams are looking for their first win of the season.
Who will come out victorious?
What are the experts saying? Below are picks from the Cards Wire staff and other NFL, Cardinals and Rams experts.
I believe in the Cardinals team. The Rams are so banged up but will struggle up front with the run game. Kyren Williams was a monster last season against the Cardinals, but I’m giving them a little extra juice for their home opener. Tough, close, physical game. Cardinals 24, Rams 2
Then Kyren Williams breaks off an 8-yard run on first play from scrimmage
@JourdanRodrigue: Blake Corum the return man - and breaks off 41 yards! Fresh legs...
Rams inactives: RB Cody Schrader, OLB Brennan Jackson, OL Dylan McMahon, TE Davis Allen (back), DL Tyler Davis
0-3, Williams picked up a pressure but Stafford still had to throw on the move, eyeballing Kupp, incomplete.
Special teams is the only unit that looks ready to play today. Charles Woods downed a 63-yard punt at the 1.
@JourdanRodrigue: Two third downs for the Rams so far; skipped pass and a sack for an eight yard loss.
I believe Kevin Dotson is wearing a Guardian Cap in today's game, which would make him the first Rams player to do so in a game. Looking through my binoculars so will follow up postgame.
The L.A. Rams announced their inactive list 90 minutes before kickoff of their Week 2 road game against the Arizona Cardinals. One player, tight end Davis Allen, had previously been ruled out.
Starting corner back Cobie Durant and safety Quentin Lake, both questionable for the game with injuries, were not deactivated and would suit up and start for them.
Who were the Rams’ inactive players?
Warren McClendon, who started last week at right tackle in place of an injured Rob Havenstein, started at left tackle after Alaric Jackson was serving the final game of his two-game suspension and replacement Joe Noteboom was placed on injured reserve with a high ankle sprain earlier in the week
The Arizona Cardinals are 0-1 to start the season and play their home opener Sunday in Week 2 against the 0-1 Los Angeles Rams. The Cardinals have only beaten the Rams twice since 2017 and haven’t beaten them at home in a decade. But the Rams are dealing with a number of injuries. WR Puka Nacua, OL Joe Noteboom and OL Steve Avila are all on injured reserve and OL Alaric Jackson, their regular starting left tackle, is serving the final game of his two-game suspension.
The Cardinals are actually favored in this game
As Sean McVay said after the game, there aren’t many positives to take out of the Rams’ 41-10 loss to the Cardinals, if any at all. That’s reflected in our studs and duds for Week 2, a list that’s almost entirely comprised of duds.
There was only one bright spot on a defense that allowed 41 points, and that was rookie edge rusher Jared Verse. Other than that, it was all duds coming out of Week 2 in Arizona. The Rams will move on quickly from this embarrassing loss and look ahead to their upcoming game against the 49ers at home, their first game at SoFi Stadium this season
Marvin Harrison Jr. does it AGAIN--this time with a 60-yard touchdown. Arizona is on fire.
@MySportsUpdate: Marvin Harrison Jr. has arrived. His first NFL career TD. https://t.co/FrSNtvEwNz
Kyler Murray is playing out of his mind right now. ??

The Arizona Cardinals blew out the L.A. Rams on Sunday 41-10 at State Farm Stadium to pick up their 1st win of the season. It was their first win over the Rams at home since 2014, the game that Carson Palmer tore his ACL and Drew Stanton came in and threw a game-winning touchdown pass.
The Cardinals did it in dominating fashion, with Kyler Murray, James Conner and Marvin Harrison Jr. all having fantastic days.
Let’s have a look at the offensive numbers.

Kyler Murray held onto the ball for 8.55 seconds before finding Elijah Higgins in the end zone for an 18-yard touchdown, the 7th-longest time to throw on a TD pass in the NGS era (since 2016), and 3rd-longest since 2019. #LARvsAZ | @AZCardinals pic.x.com/xvabkychep
It's a classic Brian Flores, where Jonah Williams -- who didn't even play last week -- is now just manning early downs against the 49ers.
After promoting him to the 53-man roster earlier this week, the Cardinals have made Julian Okwara active for Sunday's matchup with the Rams.
The Arizona Cardinals had two players listed as questionable to play in their Week 2 home opener against the L.A. Rams. Rookie Max Melton, who worked through the concussion protocol and was questionable, was cleared and was not among the Cardinals’ inactive players, announced 90 minutes before kickoff.
However, the debut fo undrafted rookie receiver Xavier Weaver will need to wait another week. Questionable with an oblique injury, Weaver was announced as inactive.
