Keenan Allen’s touchdown celebration said it all: The Titans are too small.
Justin Herbert dropped back on 4th and 4 from Tennessee’s eight-yard line, but had to deal with pressure from Titans defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons. Simmons got his hands on Herbert, hitting the quarterback in the helmet and drawing a flag. Herbert stumbled but stayed on his feet, scrambling to his left before firing a pass to Allen.
Allen was interfered with but made the catch in the end zone anyway for a touchdown that will be on the end-of-season highlight reel

Game News

The live-betting strategy for Week 1's games, including Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert's passing props.

The Chargers won't have running back Austin Ekeler against the Titans, but it does look like there's a good chance that edge rusher Joey Bosa will be in the lineup.

The Chargers will be without a key player on both sides of the ball when they face the Titans on Sunday, as Austin Ekeler and Eric Kendricks have been ruled out.
Ekeler is nursing an ankle injury that is being deemed just a sprain, while Kendricks has a hamstring injury.
Joshua Kelley will be Los Angeles’ lead back. Kenneth Murray will be the primary defensive play-caller. Amen Ogbongbemiga or Nick Niemann will likely be the one to play alongside Murray.
Additionally, Chris Rumph II, who also has a hamstring injury, was downgraded to out for this weekend

The Chargers lead the Titans 11-7 after quarterback Justin Herbert completed a 2-point conversion to offensive tackle Trey Pipkins III.

Can the Washington Commanders begin the Josh Harris era with a 2-0 record?
Washington travels to Denver to face the 0-1 Broncos on Sunday afternoon. The Broncos are looking to avoid falling to 0-2 in Sean Payton’s first year as head coach.
The Commanders survived the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1 despite turning the ball over three times. Washington’s defense smothered the Cardinals, allowing only 210 total yards.
We make our picks for the Commanders and Broncos

Ankle injury
Titans’ WR DeAndre Hopkins, listed as questionable for Sunday due to an ankle injury, is expected to play vs. the Chargers, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FF Today's Take: Hopkins missed practice all week so it's somewhat surprising that he's going to give it a go. He went down with an ankle injury very late in last week's game against the Saints. He'll be a shaky WR2 in a game with the Chargers that has some overall fantasy appeal

The Los Angeles Chargers kick off Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, Sept. 17 at 10:00 a.m. PT.
Who is going to come out victorious?
Here is a look at the predictions from each of our writers at Chargers Wire:
After facing defeat to the Dolphins last week, the Chargers will look to get in the win column. Offensively, Los Angeles had no problem lighting up the scoreboard against Miami, finishing with 34 points. While they surrendered 36 points to Miami, the Titans don’t present an offense near as explosive as them. Ryan Tannehill struggled against the Saints, throwing three interceptions on the day. Derrick Henry could pose a threat on the ground, but Tennessee will be without Peter Skoronski, their best offensive lineman. I expect Los Angeles’ defense to bounce back and Justin Herbert to light it up against a thin Titans secondary

Nick Folk kicked a 41-yard field goal in overtime in a sudden downpour and the Tennessee Titans snapped an eight-game skid by beating the Los Angeles Chargers 27-24 Sunday.

With rookie left guard Peter Skoronski sidelined for the Week 2 game against the Los Angeles Chargers, the Tennessee Titans will reportedly start Xavier Newman in his place.
According to Justin Melo of Broadway Sports, Newman will get the nod at left guard over other candidates that included Dillon Radunz and Corey Levin.
While Newman is listed as the backup at left guard behind Skoronski on the depth chart, this is still somewhat of a surprise, as I figured the Titans would opt for the more experienced Levin, who has proven to be a solid backup

We now have more clarity on the “illness” that led to the Tennessee Titans ruling out rookie left guard Peter Skoronski for the Week 2 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
According to Jared Stillman of 102.5 The Game, and as confirmed by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Skoronski had an issue with his appendix that required an appendectomy.
It isn’t clear exactly when Skoronski had the appendectomy done, but the recovery time can be anywhere from one to four weeks, so it’s possible Skoronski misses multiple games. We wish him a speedy recovery
