And the first rookie QB to throw a touchdown pass in the 2022 NFL season: Bailey Zappe. Just as we all suspected.

#Patriots QB Brian Hoyer is headed into the locker room without a helmet and rookie QB Bailey Zappe appears to be up.
Rhamondre Stevenson loves ot punish defenders. I don't know what that means for a long career, but in the short term, it is something to watch. Such power.

One popular question is who would be the emergency QB in the event something happened to Bailey Zappe. Jakobi Meyers, if active, would have likely been the choice. Now? Let's hope they don't have to find out, but Hunter Henry caught the eye in training camp with his arm.
Harris rushed 18 times for 86 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Packers. He also caught his only target for a loss of two yards.
Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson both enjoyed success on the ground, with the latter carrying 14 times for 66 yards. In leading New England's rushing attack, though, it was Harris who scored the team's lone touchdown out of the backfield, punching in a five-yarder to begin the fourth quarter. In doing so, the veteran has now scored in three straight games ahead of Week 5's matchup versus the Lions.
Plays in back to back weeks that Nelson Agholor has to make. The first, protecting the football vs the Ravens. Fumble was a killer. Today? Has to reel in that throw from Bailey Zappe on the dig. Hit him in the chest. Low or not. That's what he's paid big money for. #Patriots
Bill Belichick doesn't seem to agree with that penalty call on Brenden Schooler. He was animated in a discussion with side judge Anthony Jeffries.
The Green Bay Packers were able to win in overtime, but the officials at Lambeau Field missed an obvious and egregious delay of game penalty on  the first of two touchdowns scored by the New England Patriots during Sunday’s overtime thriller. The play occurred during the third quarter and ended up giving the Patriots the lead.
The play clock was on zero for a couple of seconds, but no whistles were blown. After the play was allowed to continue, quarterback Bailey Zappe connected with wide receiver DeVante Parker for a 25-yard touchdown. However, it should have been blown dead and the Patriots assessed a five-yard delay of game penalty
Brutal game for Isaiah Wynn. Two sacks allowed, plus a false start and a holding penalty. The sacks were the one Hoyer was injured on and that Zappe fumble.
Patriots injury update: TE Jonnu Smith is downgraded to out.
Bailey Zappe -- first career TD pass, and it's a pretty one, to DeVante Parker. Hunter Henry right there to wrap him in a celebratory embrace as Zappe is fired up.
In pre-game warmups, kicker Nick Folk was hitting from a long of 53 yards to this end of the stadium. That would put the 35-yard line as the range where the Patriots need to advance the ball to start thinking FG.
Kendrick Bourne credited the coaching staff for splitting reps 50/50 between Hoyer and Zappe this week. There wasn't a shock to the system when Zappe had to take over. They were ready.

Rookie CB Jack Jones (fourth round, Arizona State) projects as the next man up for Jalen Mills (hamstring, out). Jones has played 33% of the defensive snaps through three games.
Trent Brown looks over to the sideline, motions with his hand as if to say "Keep running to my side."
Jack Jones quickly diagnosed that play, and the combination of his reaction and Adrian Phillips delivering the hit result in the turnover.
Defensive starters for Patriots OLB: Matthew Judon DT: Deatrich Wise Jr. DT: Davon Godchaux DT: Christian Barmore LB: Ja'Whaun Bentley LB: Mack Wilson Sr. CB: Jack Jones CB: Jonathan Jones S: Adrian Phillips S: Kyle Dugger S: Devin McCourty Early turnover and Jack Jones has it
Devin McCourty talking about the bright spots from the #Patriots, especially with the QB adversity but ends it by saying, "How can we do those things and win? That has to be the mission."
Also in warmups, second-year DT Christian Barmore lines up in the spot where Lawrence Guy (shoulder, out) would usually be. Barmore has played 57.5% of the snaps through three games. A possible chance today to show he's worthy of an increased workload.
David Andrews on the way Bailey Zappe competed: "Proud of the way he competed, man."
Marcus Jones back as the punt returner. Appears as though the Patriots have moved on from Myles Bryant in that role. Jones was arguably the best return man in college football last year.
Gotta respect Cole Strange's facemask. Definitely looks the kind a handful of sophomores would wear in high school, because all the cool ones were taken. pic.twitter.com/MkkARyapSy
Kyle Dugger is active and returns for the Patriots. That's big for the defense. I think he has Pro Bowl potential.
Marcus Jones is the Patriots' top punt returner today. Surpasses Myles Bryant after Bryant punts in each of the last two games.
Third-and-3: Stevenson runs for a gain of 2. Jake Bailey needs to boot this punt
Bailey Zappe's first career completion goes to Lil'Jordan Humphrey, one of his favorite targets during the preseason.
In warmups, Myles Bryant lines up at CB opposite starter Jonathan Jones. We'll see if that holds once it's time for kickoff.
The Bailey Zappe vs Aaron Rodgers overtime dual we all expected.

Romeo Doubs player receiving, touchdown props
Doubs has gone over 3.5 receptions in two out of three games this year, and is coming off a game in which he had eight targets.
The Packers’ rookie WR has cleared 44.5 receiving yards just once in three games, but it came last week against Tampa Bay

Aaron Jones player rushing, touchdown props
Jones has cleared 56.5 rushing yards in one out of three games this season - 132 yards against the Bears in Week 2.
In two of three games this year, Jones has cleared 11.5 rushing attempts
AJ Dillon put 20.1 fantasy points on the board in Week 1 and hasn't reached 10 in a game since. He's playing well, but that's the nature of the beast with backfield committees.

Why in God's name is Randall Cobb throwing a lateral to Elgton Jenkins at midfield in a tie game with no time left on the clock?
That puts Allen Lazard over 100 receiving yards on the day
End around to Christian Watson and he prances untouched into the end zone for his first career TD. Kid can move.
#Packers CB Jaire Alexander will not play vs. the Patriots. #NEvsGB inactives list 📋 packers.com/news/packers-p…
Matt LaFleur on challenging the Doubs TD and losing a timeout at the end of regulation: "Yeah, I'm not too proud of that moment. That was an emotional decision." Said asst. QB coach and game management specialist Connor Lewis told LaFleur in his ear not to challenge.
#Packers LT David Bakhtiari said initial plan was for him to play 2 consecutive drives, then hand one to Yosh Nijman. Nijman's illness and Bakhtiari's knee holding up scratched that. Bakhtiari was tired but thrilled after. "It's special to come back out here on Lambeau Field."

Injury update: Adrian Amos is being evaluated for a concussion. #NEvsGB
Jaire Alexander is INACTIVE, but Yosh Nijman is ACTIVE. Packers inactives: Alexander, T Rasheed Walker, G/T Sean Rhyan, WR Samori Toure, DL Jonathan Ford.
The Packers still appear to be easing Robert Tonyan back -- he's played 18 of 35 snaps so far -- but that seam route TD is exactly the kind of play they need from him.
Saw Zach Tom stumble back out of the O-line huddle during warmups. Bakhtiari was so jacked up that he headbutted Tom, pushed him off balance and then spanked him. Looks like 69 is ready.
Yosh Nijman in for Bakhtiari at LT after Bakhtiari got the first three drives.
Keisean Nixon catches Pat O'Donnell's dribbling punt at the 2-yard line, just like he did last week. A huge moment for #Packers special teams, and it delivers. The Rich Bisaccia effect.
Keisean Nixon, De'Vondre Campbell and Rudy Ford all point to one side of the field and Parker comes wide open on the other. twitter.com/nfl/status/157…
