#Vikings standout LT Christian Darrisaw won't play today, source said. Safety is most important and he should get a full week of work in practice next week and continue to progress from there.
On that fumble by Dalvin Cook, it was actually about to be a pop pass to a wide open TE in the end zone. Instead, Detroit takes over with a 14-7 lead.
I wonder what T.J. Hockenson is thinking right now
So in the end, the review works out in the Vikings' favor. Adam Thielen got the first down, and was ruled down in bounds. Lions have to use their second timeout.
It'll get lost in the shuffle but Kirk Cousins was dealing today. "I thought he was attempting to will our football team to a victory," O'Connell said. Per @ESPNStatsInfo, it has been 4 years since an NFL QB lost when passing for 400 yards, completing 75% and throwing no INTs.

Vikings receiver Jalen Reagor guaranteed victory in Detroit. Then he didn't catch his only target in a double-digit loss. "Tough look for Jalen Reagor, huh?" Taylor Decker said unprompted after the game. Story: bit.ly/3Y7bjbU pic.twitter.com/EonwWzbGBK
#Vikings LB Jordan Hicks is questionable to return with a toe injury #MINvsDET
That evoked memories of Nick Mullens vs New Orleans in 2020 — he couldn't identify nickel blitzes and it killed the 49ers. Purdy has to be better
The Vikings allowed 464 yards today. That's 5 consecutive games of allowing 400+ yards, longest streak in franchise history. For this franchise, that's saying something. Will bring you some relatively sharp comments from coach Kevin O'Connell on that shortly.
Yikes. Center Garrett Bradbury, who was questionable with a back injury, will join Christian Darrisaw and Harrison Smith on the sideline in today's "T-shirt and Hat" game in Detroit. Austin Schlottmann will replace Bradbury. Josh Metellus replaces Smith and Blake Brandel at LT. twitter.com/Vikings/status…
All in all: It could have been worse, but the Vikings had a chance to make it better. I know Johnny Mundt was open for a TD on the Cook fumble. But the play call requires Cook to play out of position. IMO, it had a higher risk of disaster than it looked.
Can the Vikings keep the late-game magic going? Patrick Peterson explains that, in those moments, the players believe it will happen. He's also starting to notice opponents bracing for it. wp.me/pbBqYq-ctcm
Isaiah Buggs just inhaled Ed Ingram -- huge play by a guy the Lions' locker room absolutely loves.
Garrett Bradbury, who's questionable for the game with a back injury, is on the field stretching and warming up in front of the #Vikings' athletic training staff.
The #Vikings were opting for caution with Smith and Darrisaw, who were both questionable for the game. They did the same with Bradbury after a pregame workout. Austin Schlottmann will start at center.
Jameson Williams' 1st career catch is a TOUCHDOWN. 👠@bigsgjamo 📺: #MINvsDET on FOX 📱: Stream on NFL+ bit.ly/3BkqYef pic.twitter.com/UxgqBFfI4g

Jared Goff with a BOMB to a WIDE OPEN Jameson Williams for his first TD. You love to see it.
Jamaal Williams is a man who very much enjoys what he does. The Lions running back brings an infectious positive personality and joie de vivre wherever he goes.
On Sunday morning, he brought that to the FOX 2 pregame show with an unexpected appearance.
Williams sauntered and danced his way onto the camera shot behind the set inside Ford Field. He sashayed into the shot and greeted the hosts, including a hug with former Lions OL T.J. Lang. Williams was then asked for a game prediction.
“We’re winning today,†Williams said with a smile to Will Burchfield. “I’m not very good with numbers though.â€
Have less an issue with the DPI flag the official threw on Jeff Okudah there than I do with the official really only reacting to a veteran WR throwing a fit after he put the brakes on (which is as much OPI as it is DPI, but I digress) mid-route. Not great.
Dan Campbell — a former Lion himself, survivor of 0-16 — on what it would mean to the city of Detroit to push this team into the playoffs: ‘This is why I wanted to be here.'
Swift rushed six times for 21 yards and brought in three of four targets for 18 yards in the Lions' 34-23 win over the Vikings on Sunday.
Swift appeared to be firmly on an upward trajectory heading into Sunday's game after tying his season high in touches during a Week 13 blowout win over the Jaguars. However, it was backfield mate Jamaal Williams who comfortably paced the team in carries with 16 on Sunday, and Swift couldn't make up for the shortfall in rushing work through the air. The Lions' backfield once again appears to be a bit of a fantasy quagmire heading into a tough Week 14 road battle versus the Jets.
"Tough look for Jalen Reagor right now." -- Taylor Decker, on Reagor guaranteeing a Minnesota victory
St. Brown secured six of nine targets for 68 yards in the Lions' 34-23 win over the Vikings on Sunday. He also rushed once for six yards.
St. Brown got off to a slow start before coming on with two receptions for 34 yards on the Lions' final drive of the first half. The star second-year wideout is beginning to cede more opportunities to a now-healthy D.J. Chark, and rookie Jameson Williams also appears set to carve out a progressively larger role in coming weeks after recording a 41-yard touchdown reception Sunday. However, St. Brown will naturally continue to fill a significant role in Detroit's red-hot air attack heading into the fantasy postseason, but he'll have a tough matchup versus the Jets on the road in Week 15.
.@Lions S C.J. Moore rushed for a 42-yard gain on a fake punt. Detroit is 6-of-7 on fake punt attempts over the past two seasons. Moore now has 4 carries for 86 yards (21.5 avg.) in his career, the 5th-most rushing yards by a DB in team history. #OnePride pic.twitter.com/XZ17thwE25
That's 6 takeaways in 10 NFL starts for rookie Kerby Joseph. Seems like a pretty good clip.
Those last two pass calls from Ben Johnson 👀👀
Bad call on holding on Stenberg. What was he looking at? Wow. No matter. Kalif Raymond picks up 1st down on next play. #MINvsDET
Aidan Hutchinson ends the 1st half with sack. Lions lead 14-7. #MINvsDET
Lions offense has gotten a lot of credit for their recent play, and rightfully so. But Aaron Glenn has this defense playing well, too. Big takeaway started the steamroll last week, today get a fourth-and-1 stop early and that fumble on the goal line.
Justin Jackson with the 15-yard TD run and Lions go up two scores
Romeo Okwara is officially ACTIVE for the first time since blowing out his Achilles in the first month of last season. Inactives: LB Derrick Barnes CB Will Harris G Evan Brown G Kayode Awosika DL Austin Bryant DL Michael Brockers WR Tom Kennedy
Romeo Okwara introduced with Lions starters on defense. Good for him. First game back since tearing his Achilles Week 4 last year.
John Cominsky and Jarrad Davis sniff that pas to Thielen out. Lions get the 2-point stop. Lions 21, VIkings 13. 2;17 left in the third quarter
They gave that sack to end the 1st half to James Houston. His 4th in 3 games. Franchise record for the most sacks through three-career games. #MINvsDET
Our thoughts are with the family of former Sun Devils AD Charles Harris on his passing. pic.twitter.com/TlhoXKQnLR
Not often you get oohs and aahs for a punt, but Jack Fox just got 'em for a 62-yard moonshot
Jerry Jacobs gets home for the sack on the CB blitz. #MINvsDET
Detroit Lions CB Will Harris is out, but DE Romeo Okwara is active for the first time in 434 days - and he'll play against a Vikings team that will be without 2 starters on its OL freep.com/story/sports/n… via @freep
In Jarren Williams' Lions' debut, he's flagged for taunting on the big fake punt
Josh Woods recovers the onside kick. With 2 timeouts there why wouldn't Vikings kick deep? Will take it. #MINvsDET
LB Chris Board knocks the ball away from Hockenson and the Vikings forced to punt. #MINvsDET
Would like to see Jonah Jackson get a few carries one day -- just to see what would happen.
Ford Field will be rocking for Sunday’s visit from the Minnesota Vikings. The Detroit Lions are in pretty good shape health-wise, but there are still some players who are inactive for Week 14 due to injuries.
Two players were ruled out on Friday with injuries: Guard Kayode Awosika and linebacker Derrick Barnes. Cornerback Chase Lucas was also ruled out at that time, but he has since been placed on injured reserve with his injured ankle. Evan Brown, the nominal starting right guard, is also sitting out after being listed as doubtful. Cornerback Will Harris was questionable with an injury and he too is out
