Mike Gesicki was called the worst griddy-er of all time and instead of shying away from it he has leaned into it. I respect that move so much.

Game News

The talk after this game will be about Miami having no shot with Skylar Thompson at QB, but his best players are letting him down big time.

Dolphins' WR Jaylen Waddle has a shoulder injury and is questionable to return today.

Tua Tagovailoa expected back as Dolphins' starter in 2023, per sources: nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%…

Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel has mentioned multiple times this year he's been trying to improve his speed getting plays into the QB as a play-caller. He's had a strong year as a playcaller but not in clock operation. It's been an issue all day today & cost them on that 4th & inches.

Dolphins' QB Teddy Bridgewater is expected to be active today vs. Buffalo despite being listed as questionable due to a dislocated pinky injury, but he will backup rookie starting QB Skylar Thompson, per source.

#Dolphins DL Zach Sieler just scored his first career touchdown. It happened in a playoff game to take the lead with his team a massive underdog. His wife's reaction is everything ❤❤ pic.twitter.com/KnPjouceRJ

If the Dolphins can somehow pull this off, Tyreek Hill will return to Kansas City next weekend. pic.twitter.com/WQfIfbrsh9

Injury Update | Terron Armstead has a hip injury and is questionable to return.

Dolphins LT Terron Armstead and OLB Bradley Chubb are both officially active today.

It can't be overstated how unfortunate it is that the Dolphins' second playoff game in 14 years is without Tua Tagovailoa or Teddy Bridgewater, Raheem Mostert, Emmanuel Ogbah, Byron Joes, Brandon Jones, etc. Anything short of humiliating blowout is an achievement today.

#Dolphins DC Josh Boyer taken lot of criticism this season. Called blitz off edge for Eric Rowe. Pays off handsomely.

Jason Sanders made a playoff game kick. Jason has made 16 of his last 18 field goal attempts. Gives himself a chance to at least maybe compete for FG kicker on Dolphins camp.

Injury Update | Salvon Ahmed is being evaluated for a head injury and is questionable to return.

Xavien Howard can't cover Diggs one on one. Dolphins need to change the plan.

Jevon Holland has 7 tackles, 1 interception and 2 passes defended Jerome Baker and Jaelan Phillips have 7 tackles Christian Wilkins and Zach Sieler each have 4 tackles and 1 sack

The Bills obviously think they can torch Miami in the air today. Xavien hasn't had a strong season. No Byron Jones, Brandon Jones, Nik Needham.

Injury Update | Elijah Campbell has a knee injury and is questionable to return.

The recognition for Josh Boyer's adjustments after an abysmal first quarter needs to be as loud as the criticism. This is the best game he's called all season

The Miami Dolphins’ offense was struggling in the first quarter, failing to pick up a first down until their third possession. However, that possession ended after a failed deep pass attempt to wide receiver Jaylen Waddle.
Waddle came down and appeared to be shaken up. Following the play, he headed to the blue medical tent to be checked out on the sidelines.
The second-year wideout has dealt with injuries throughout the year, but he’s been able to fight through. If he can’t go, Cedrick Wilson Jr. and River Cracraft will have to step up to help Skylar Thompson and company move the ball

Not sure why the booth doesn't initiate a review of that play, at least. ... #Bills do get a 39-yard field goal from Tyler Bass to take a 20-17 lead with 4 seconds left in the first half.

The Bills opened the scoring against the Dolphins in their Wild-Card matchup thanks to a familiar face in the end zone.
Tight end Dawson Knox scored again. His late-season surge continued in the playoffs, as he scored in his fifth-straight game.
Not only that, it was an impressive catch as Knox kept himself in bounds in the courner of the end zone. The Bills took the early 7-0 lead on the play.
See the clip below for the score:
Insane throw. Insane catch.

For #Bills-#Dolphins: — #Bills WR Isaiah McKenzie and DT Jordan Phillips are inactive. — #Dolphins LT Terron Armstead is active.

Both of Tremaine Edmunds' NFL brothers are here to cheer for him. Tremaine got to say hello. This is a pretty cool moment. #BillsMafia pic.twitter.com/LhY2Yv6KZh

Dean Marlowe tallies an interception in his first career start in a playoff game.

TJ Hockenson. Another trade deadline addition in the playoffs. I missed sending a tweet about Bradley Chubb and Nyheim Hines earlier.

What a huge moment for rookie WR Khalil Shakir

Bills OC Ken Dorsey is in his bag today folks.

Injury Update: CB Dane Jackson is questionable to return (knee).

Sean McDermott called a timeout before the 4th and 6 and the Dolphins threw an incomplete pass! That's two this quarter from McD. Yeesh.

Did Devin Singletary get the first down? 🤔 (via @NFL) pic.twitter.com/YgsGftHcZU

Loss of two on first down for Miami. Matt Milano with a sack on 2nd down. It's getting loud at Highmark Stadium. Kaiir Elam with a huge interception on 3rd down. How about the rookie?

Reggie Gilliam was on the kickoff coverage so he has returned to the game

Honestly a pretty good ball there from Thompson. Jordan Poyer closes and Waddle can't hold onto it

"That is a guy who deserves to be at the top of the list (of head-coaching candidates)." — Jim Nantz on #Bills DC Leslie Frazier

Tyrel Dodson recovering the muffed punt may end up being one of the biggest plays in this game.

Jordan Phillips is in the same boat as McKenzie. Doesn't look like he's warming up at all.

Dion Dawkins injured on the last play and he's able to walk off. David Quessenberry in for this 3rd and 8.

2. They probably don't want to complicate the CB rotation more than it is already, and Cam Lewis means more to their ST units than Benford. twitter.com/markasimon502/…
