Texans vs. Dolphins second quarter recap
Texans 9th drive (5 plays, 10 yards, 1:56) — QB Tyrod Taylor throws an interception intended for WR Danny Amendola on third-and-10 from the Texans’ 35-yard line.
Dolphins 8th drive (3 plays, 6 yards, 1:25) — DT Maliek Collins gets an interception off the deflection at the line of scrimmage two plays after Taylor’s interception.
Texans 10th drive (3 plays, 8 yards, 1:00) — The Texans can do absolutely nothing with the possession. Houston gets dinged for an offensive pass interference that seemingly would have picked up the first down. WR Danny Amendola was blocked into Dolphins defenders on a screen, and was ticketed for the pass interference. The Texans went three-and-out

Texans expected to start Desmond King at corner, Eric Murray at safety
The Houston Texans released their inactives for Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins Sunday at 12:00 p.m. Central Time at Hard Rock Stadium.
Tight end Pharaoh Brown (thigh), quarterback Deshaun Watson (not injury related), and linebacker Hardy Nickerson (concussion), quarterback Jeff Driskel, running back Cre’Von LeBlanc, linebacker Eric Wilson, and receiver Davion Davis were declared inactive for Houston.
Although not counted on the inactives, linebacker Christian Kirksey (thumb) was placed on injured reserve on Nov. 6. On Friday’s injury report, he was ruled out for the Dolphins
Texans expected to start rookie Jimmy Morrissey at center and have Justin McCray start at right offensive guard, according to league sources.
Texans come up with a fumble recovery off the punt. A.J. Moore popped it loose, Kevin Pierre-Louis recovered. 1st-and-10 at Miami 23.
The Houston Texans take on the Miami Dolphins Sunday at 12:00 p.m. Central Time at Hard Rock Stadium.
The Texans and Dolphins are each riding a seven-game losing streak. Texans safety Justin Reid believes that in order to snap such a streak, you must have the same mentality as if you were on a seven-game winning streak.
“I always believe you’ve got to be the same guy regardless if you’re on a seven-game winning streak or a seven-game losing streak, and that’s just focusing at the task at hand,†said Reid. “The task at hand right now is the Miami Dolphins.â€
The Houston Texans weren’t able to get a win as they fell 17-9 to the Miami Dolphins Sunday afternoon in Week 9 at Hard Rock Stadium.
The Texans fall to 1-8 on the year as the Dolphins improve to 2-7.
The Texans and Dolphins combined for nine turnovers. Quarterback Tyrod Taylor threw three interceptions, which generated its own reactions on social media.
However, the former Pro Bowler wasn’t alone as the only target for angry Houston sports fans as the decision-making of coach David Culley was also called into question

Houston Texans defensive tackle Roy Lopez was able to get his first career sack against the Miami Dolphins Sunday afternoon in Week 9 at Hard Rock Stadium.
The sixth-round rookie dropped Dolphins quarterback Jacoby Brissett for a 2-yard loss.
The sack is part of the development of Lopez that defensive coordinator Lovie Smith talked about going back to Oct. 21
HOUSTON — The first half of the Houston Texans’ Week 9 match against the Miami Dolphins can be summarized by one word — frustrating. But in the midst of trailing 17-6 at the half, the Texans could be a running back short during the final 24 minutes of Sunday’s game at Hard Rock Stadium.
According to Texans’ PR, second-year running back Scottie Phillips is questionable to return after sustaining a leg injury. Phillips was injured during his lone rush attempt of the game — where he recorded two yards on the pickup

Dolphins' QB Tua Tagovailoa has a small fracture in the middle finger of his throwing hand that has not recovered enough to allow him to start today's game against the Texans, per league sources. Jacoby Brissett now is expected to be the Dolphins' starting QB today, per source.

The #Ravens didn't make a trade last week, but it wasn't for lack of effort. Among the high-profile targets was #Dolphins star CB Xavien Howard, though the complicated trade never materialized. Details: nfl.com/news/ravens-tr…
Despite Tua Tagovailoa and DeVante Parker being taken out of this matchup in the days leading up to it, the Miami Dolphins were able to secure their second victory of the season with a 17-9 win over the Houston Texans at Hard Rock Stadium.
Early in this game, the Dolphins struggled to string drives together, as they continued to turn the ball over. Three turnovers in the first half kept them from capitalizing on mistakes that Houston was making.
Jaylen Waddle and Mike Gesicki were the go-to guys. Waddle brought in five receptions for 59 yards and Gesicki recorded two spectacular one-handed receptions for 36 yards. These guys are continuing to prove that they are the focal points on this offense
Mack Hollins, Dolphins TD. Fan favorite Hollins may credit neighborhood children who hit him with pool noodles as he catches passes from JUGS machine in the street. I love that story.
Emmanuel Ogbah has 4 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 3 QBH, 2 TFL, 1 PD for Miami Dolphins today. Would be a good addition to 2022 roster.
Injury Update | Durham Smythe has an eye injury and is questionable to return.

The Miami Dolphins' young safety duo of Jevon Holland and Brandon Jones are seemingly blossoming, and their play of late provides the franchise hope for the future in this disappointing season.
The Dolphins have put out their list of inactive players for their Week 9 matchup with the Houston Texans.
Probably the most important name on the list this week is wide receiver Preston Williams who missed last week’s game for disciplinary reasons.
Williams was not on the injury report leading up to this contest, so this may be a holdover from that issue, especially when we consider that safety Sheldrick Redwine, who was also inactive for discipline last week, is out this week as well.
Miami’s wide receiver room will consist of Jaylen Waddle, Mack Hollins, Albert Wilson, Isaiah Ford, and Kirk Merritt this week
Injury Update | Greg Mancz has an ankle injury and is questionable to return.
Jevon Holland: We really needed (the win). It's huge. The energy is high. The positivity is high. It really feels good. #MiamiDolphins
All Zach Sieler does is make plays. More Zach Sieler, please. #MiamiDolphins
Because Robert Hunt at RG is probably Miami's most solid offensive lineman, it's probably hard for Dolphins to move him back out to RT. But it may be necessary at some point. He can always go back to G if necessary.
The Dolphins tried a deep ball for Kirk Merritt. It wasn't complete. But they tried.
The Dolphins don't have a third available quarterback. They did not elevate Jake Dolegala from the practice squad. So, Tua will either need to be active for an emergency situation today, or the Dolphins will have to use another player as an emergency QB. twitter.com/AdamSchefter/s…
Liam Eichenberg offered no resistance on that strip sack and we are now at turnover numbeerrrrrrrr twitter.com/Marcel_LJ/stat… pic.twitter.com/9Xem28a6jU
On third and goal at the Miami 2, DT Raekwon Davis just blew through without being touched and force Taylor to throw a bad pass. Talk about brain dead. Isn't somebody supposed to pick up a DT rushing up the middle. Another example of wretched pass protection by the Texans.
The injury problems continue for the Miami Dolphins who are missing multiple key players for their Week 9 matchup with the Houston Texans.
During the first quarter of Sunday’s game, the Dolphins saw both center Greg Mancz and tight end Durham Smythe leave the field with injuries. Mancz’s injury is an ankle while Smythe is dealing with an eye issue.
In the meantime, Smythe’s role will be taken on by Mike Gesicki and Adam Shaheen who are the top two tight ends on the roster, and Mancz will be replaced by Austin Reiter who started last week
