"We can go into the bye week with a smile on our face knowing we're a resilient team and we're going to do whatever we can for each other." Dak Prescott joins @tracywolfson after a thrilling @dallascowboys win in OT. pic.twitter.com/nxw1PjvYLb

Trevon Diggs has an interception in 6 straight games, tied for the longest streak to open a season in NFL history.
Hell of a job in pass pro by Tony Pollard. Wasn't enough to negate the pressure, but still commendable.
Behind CeeDee Lamb's career-high 149 receiving yards and game-winning touchdown, the #DallasCowboys win an overtime thriller in New England, 35-29. #DALvsNE | @bswhealth
Dallas and New England both will have their starting RBs that went into today with questionable designations due to rib injuries. Cowboys' RB Ezekiel Elliott and Patriots' RB Damien Harris both will play today, per sources.
The New England Patriots (2-3) will host the Dallas Cowboys (4-1) in Week 6.
Dallas, led by Dak Prescott, is one of the hottest teams in the NFL currently on both sides of the ball. Amari Cooper, Ezekiel Elliot, CeeDee Lamb and Dalton Schultz are just a few of the weapons at Prescott’s disposal. On the other hand, the Patriots will be healthier than last week and they’ve allowed the fourth-least passing yards in the league.
Mac Jones will get his second real test against a tough opponent and he’ll continue to grow in primetime NFL moments. The Patriots won’t likely go out without a fight, but they will have their hands full
Randy Gregory is playing pissed off. Seems to be a good thing for the Cowboys
Tyron Smith comes jogging out of the locker room at a pretty good clip. If it's his ankle bothering him, he's moving pretty well.
CeeDee Lamb & Dalton Schultz were Dak Prescott's most productive targets on passes with 2.5+ seconds to throw. 🔹 Lamb: 5 receptions, 119 yards, TD on 6 targets 🔹 Schultz: caught all 5 targets for 79 yards #DALvsNE | #DallasCowboys pic.twitter.com/WUlvWApo7V
The most interesting decision in pro football is Mike McCarthy and every fourth-down situation.

The Cowboys and Patriots have turned this game into an absolute thriller. After the pair of wild touchdowns by both teams, Dallas took over down three with 2:05 left in the game and quarterback Dak Prescott made a pair of excellent throws to wide receivers Cedrick Wilson and CeeDee Lamb to set up a 49-yard attempt for kicker Greg Zuerlein
Luke Gifford blocked a Patriots punt in the second quarter. It was his first career blocked punt and the first time the Cowboys blocked a punt since Donnie Jones blocked one at Philadelphia in 2015 (9/20/15).
Some tough breaks for Cedrick Wilson today. Dak dgaf. That's why these dudes would all run through a wall for him.
Doesn't look like the Cowboys are going to mess with the starting lineup for this game. Jayron Kearse taking the reps with Damontae Kazee as the two starting safeties. Donovan Wilson & Malik Hooker rotating in after them.
I ... didn't see much there on Connor Williams.
Patriots picked up 109 yards and scored 14 points on their first two possessions of this game. They've got 54 yards and 0 points since. Couldn't possibly pick up on what Dan Quinn changed without watching the game back, but that's impressive.
Tony Romo after the Cowboys' first TD: "Fantastic play call for Kellen Moore, who everyone is hyping-up to be a head coach because he's going to be after this year. He just keeps calling perfect play after perfect play."
Maurice Canady (concussion) and Tyron Smith (left ankle sprain) are the other health issues for Dallas.
Nice drive by the Cowboys, some play action, a tipped pass goes their way and Blake Jarwin (remember him?) catches a 1-yard TD pass. It's tied at 7.
A source said Prescott's injury is different than the one that has kept Michael Gallup out for the last five games and the bye week will help. twitter.com/toddarcher/sta…
Cowboys rookie Micah Parsons explains how he evolved into a do-everything defender. "I built (Dan Quinn's) trust in (me), and I've got that trust in him, that he's always going to put me in position where he thinks I'll succeed and help the team succeed." theathletic.com/2892897/2021/1…
Time for Connor McGovern to get his first touch of the season lmao
Randy Gregory, whoa. He was pissed about some holding calls that he felt weren't called. He just took it out on Mac Jones

Incredible play by Jakobi Meyers and Mac Jones to make up for a Nelson Agholor drop.
Patriots with a 6:50 drive ending with Rhamondre Stevenson TD run, his first as a pro. Pats take the lead, 21-20.
If Nelson Agholor didn't drop that ball, there's a chance -- a very, very slight chance -- Mac Jones closes out this game with back-to-back 75-yard TD passes.
Third-and-1 and the Patriots take out their big personnel and insert 3 WRs, 1 TE and "passing back" Brandon Bolden ... then get stopped for on a Bolden run for minus-1 yard. Puzzling decision on that one -- from the personnel on the field, to the play-call to hand off to Bolden.
Quick-hit thoughts/notes around the Patriots and NFL (4 lost fumbles from RBs easily leads league and it's not close; Damien Harris manages pain; Mac Jones' efficiency; Nick Folk's toughness; looking to avoid 1st 4-game losing streak at home since '93 etc) es.pn/3j9eg9g
Wow, Ja'Whaun Bentley with the lefthand jab at the goal line, and the Patriots had four consecutive stops from the 1-yard line to preserve a 14-10 lead after the blocked punt.
"Tough one to lose tonight ... Thought we went toe-to-toe with them for 60 minutes. They just made a few more plays than we did." -- Bill Belichick
Patriots injury update: DB Jonathan Jones (ribs); return questionable.
Patriots injury updates: LB Ja'Whaun Bentley: ribs; return questionable DL Christian Barmore: shoulder; return questionable LB Chase Winovich (hamstring) has been downgraded to doubtful.

And there's Justin Bethel, in coverage, with a critical PBU to set up the Kyle Dugger pick. Never know when your number will be called. Bethel, in this situation, rises to the occasion. twitter.com/MikeReiss/stat…
Patriots top OL in warmups: LT - Justin Herron LG - James Ferentz C - David Andrews RG - Ted Karras RT - Yodny Cajuste So even w/ LG Mike Onwenu (off Covid list Thursday) and LT Isaiah Wynn (off Covid list Saturday) available, first pre-game look today is same as Houston game.
Patriots injury update: LB Dont'a Hightower (elbow); return questionable.
Deatrich Wise has drawn three penalties -- two holds and an illegal hands to the face -- in the first quarter. Two penalties against Tyron Smith. The three flags wiped out 56 yards of offense on top of the 30 combined penalty yards.
DAL 35, NE 29 ‼️ Great game 🎢 Pick-6 ...then 75-yard TD pass 😫 D tired, can't get stop ⬇️ Cajuste, Wynn, Bolden ⬆️ D-line, Bethel, Mac 💥 Big hit on Mac 🆘 Punt pro (Jahlani Tavai breakdown) 🥊 Goal-line punchout/Ja'Whaun Bentley 🚑 Bentley, Winovich ✈️ Next: vs. Jets

Patriots injury update: DB Adrian Phillips (foot); return questionable.
Jonnu Smith has run a total of 15 pass routes, resulting in 4 targets, during his past 2 games.

Isaiah Wynn, who hasn't practiced for two weeks, is active for the Patriots. We'll see if he starts or is used as an emergency backup. Once upon a time when I covered the Patriots, I couldn't find a single example from 2009-20 of a player suiting up Sunday after missing a week.
CB Jalen Mills circles the field, as it looks like he is making a return after missing last week with a hamstring injury. pic.twitter.com/Go7k0Ndwrq
Patriots inactives: CB Joejuan Williams, RB J.J. Taylor, TE Devin Asiasi, OLB Ronnie Perkins, RG Shaq Mason, CB Shaun Wade. No major surprises on the list, with Williams sitting after some struggles in coverage last week (e.g. TD on flea-flicker).

Early concern for Patriots' D: Secondary depth. With Jonathan Jones currently being looked at due to injury, it forces core special teamer Justin Bethel into game vs. 3-WR package. CB Joejuan Williams a healthy scratch, CB Shaun Wade still concussed.
