Game News
Saquon Barkley is active for Thursday Night Football. wp.me/pbBqYq-c1A0
#Giants OL Nick Gates has a lower leg fracture, the team announced. A brutal early injury at a key spot.
In between the New York Giants’ first two regular-season games over a five-day span, newly acquired wide receiver, Kenny Golladay, spent some time giving back to the community.
Golladay, of course, made his Giants debut last Sunday in a 27-13 loss to the Denver Broncos. He caught four passes for 64 yards in his first game in a Giants uniform.
On Monday, Golladay spent time with fans at the ShopRite in New Milford, New Jersey to celebrate September’s National Hunger Action Month.
In recognition of September’s National Hunger Action Month, Kenny Golladay will visit Inserra Supermarkets ShopRite of New Milford for a ShopRite Partners In Caring “Help Bag Hunger†Event on September 13th from 6-7pm. Kenny will bag groceries and greet local customers at the register and hand out autographs
Terry McLaurin is a low-end No. 2 receiver, Sterling Shepard and Kenny Golladay are both No. 3s.

Interesting. Per @KimJonesSports, the #Giants are shifting around their O-line. Newly acquired OL Billy Price will start at center tonight vs. WFT.
Everyone who had Giants ML when Dexter Lawrence jumped offsides pic.twitter.com/cirSIQF9kq
That was a dime. Darius Slayton makes some noise after a quiet night. 33-yard TD puts the Giants up 20-14.
Two games., two sacks for Azeez Ojulari. Not bad.
1. Spend a first round pick on Kadarius Toney 2. Promote WR from practice squad 3. Run end around with practice squad WR 4. Profit?

Congratulations to @GSEworldwide client Matt Skura on signing to the active roster of @Giants pic.twitter.com/zMrWkagCIp
More pressure from the Giants, again it's Zo Carter and Azeez Ojulari. Carter came on a twist up the middle, looked like off Leonard Williams. Heinicke threw it away. Another three and out.
Doesn't count as a sack for Lorenzo Carter but that was a huge pass rush. Forced a hold and a third and long. #Giants
James Bradberry was having his worst game as a Giant. He makes up for jumping that route (questionable decision to throw there). Giants already in field goal range trailing by a point.
Holding penalty on Giants on the punt return by Peppers. Penalty on Keion Crossen, announced as Logan Ryan.
Xavier McKinney missed tackle, spinning Adam Humphries to a first down.
With Matt Skura signing to Giants' active roster, have to think Shane Lemieux could wind up getting moved to IR. Would keep Lemieux out for three weeks, and given the current situation with his knee, might be the best move for all involved.
Giants defense without Jabrill Peppers on the field right now. Ryan and McKinney the safeties, Darnay Holmes in the slot.
Your Thursday Night Football Giants-Washington @NYDNSports game thread starts here. Blake Martinez calls tails, wins the toss and defers. NYG will kick off to start
Washington takes a 37-yard field goal and pulls within 23-20 with 8:46 left in the game. Big stop by the Giants' defense who found a way. Good coverage by Adoree Jackson, big stick and tackle by Darnay Holmes to force the FG attempt.

I understand working in JD McKissic in these situations but I don't understand Antonio Gibson - a converted WR - being a complete zero in these situations. Literally no role for one of your best playmakers when it's all on the line?
"We need to make Taylor Heinicke play as a quarterback" - Joe Judge He's throwing 81%, dude … and your QB is the leading rusher for your team
Not only did Dustin Hopkins give Washington the win with his field goal, he gave QB Taylor Heinicke a nice payday. By playing in over 60% of the snaps and Washington getting a win, Heinicke earned a $125,000 incentive. Significant kick by Hopkins.
It was *great* to see this from Saquon But also watch 265-pound Chase Young run nearly stride-for-stride with him 💨 💨 pic.twitter.com/NWjJereB28
Logan Thomas on Thursday night starts a big weekend for the low-end No. 1 tight ends.
From NFL Now: After undergoing a battery of tests and seeking several expert opinions, Washington Football Team QB Ryan Fitzpatrick will attempt to rehab his hip without surgery for now, sources say. He's expected to miss about 8 weeks. Taylor Heinicke into November, at least. pic.twitter.com/jSxIbu71j6

What a catch by Ricky Seals-Jones who played football at Texas A&M
Curtis Samuel (groin; injured reserve) is on the field pre-game working out under the guidance of a trainer.
This defense is going to ruin it, isn't it? Taylor Heinicke to J.D. McKissic for 56 yards ... fllowed by Heinicke to RIcky Seals-Jones for a 19-yard touchdown. Wow. That ... was ... fast. WFT 27, Giants 26 ... 4:33 to go. twitter.com/RVacchianoSNY/…
Jonathan Allen — who received a new four-year, $72M contract in July — now has three sacks in the first six quarters of the season.
Injury update: Matt Ioannidis is questionable to return with a knee injury.
What. A. Play by Jon Bostic. Love when this defense is disruptive.
William Jackson just got smoked for a TD. Couldn't get out of his stance cleanly to turn and run. Play was over before it began.
Washington using a 5-1-5 look on defense with Cole Holcomb in at LB
Nice job by rookie LB Jamin Davis to attach to the route and make a solid tackle to get off the field on third down. pic.twitter.com/We9zhJ4MqB
Lets not overlook that coverage from rookie CB Benjamin St-Juste on 2nd down. Shows off the length to get his hands in at the catch point, great read pic.twitter.com/1Am86K23Z7
Washington inactives: CB Darryl Roberts, DE Shaka Toney, OT Saahdiq Charles and TE Sammis Reyes. Washington only has 52 players on its active roster so it only needs to make four inactive. None of these are a surprise. es.pn/3AhZDa9
Tyalor Heinicke's best play of the night, avoiding the rush and extending the play to make a first down throw, was just negated. Rookie tackle Sam Cosmi was called for a hold. #WashingtonFootball
Joe Judge on Tress Way this week: "Tou've got to do a good job with Tress of the balls on the ground of stopping the roll. He gets a lot of hidden yards." That just happened. pic.twitter.com/pEPfW8d0t7
So far tonight, Jon Allen is being credited with 3 hits on the QB. Montez Sweat has two. Nobody else has gotten credit for a QB hit. #WashingtonFootball
Jack Del Rio dials up a corner blitz and Kendall Fuller gets the sack. Six yard loss on 2ns down. Big third coming
The Giants were overloaded on the right side, and Washington's OL cleared a huge hole on the left, between LT Charles Leno Jr. and LG Ereck Flowers. pic.twitter.com/uPWo9uo717
The #Giants ran a game on 3rd-and-4 and got home with a rusher that looped in front of Chase Roullier on the inside. Forced a Heinike throw-away and a punt. Washington has gone three-and-out twice.
Great work here by Pete to show the two Jones runs. Landon Collins, not so much. twitter.com/PeteHaileyNBCS…
