After tearing his Achilles in July, Rams' RB Cam Akers is expected to make his season debut today vs. the 49ers, per sources. Akers is expected to have a limited role today, but an increased role during the postseason. "He looks fantastic," one Rams' official said this weekend.
This team showed a lot of fight and making the playoffs would have been extremely validating, though it would have been hard with Taysom Hill hurt. Being a Matthew Stafford interception away from the playoffs should provide the same validation, and the draft spot is better.

Matthew Stafford didn’t have his best performance on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers. He threw a touchdown pass to Cooper Kupp that appeared to be the game-winner at the end of the fourth quarter, but the 49ers stormed back and forced overtime with a game-tying touchdown in the final seconds.
In overtime, Stafford made one of his biggest mistakes of the game. On first-and-10 from the Rams’ 38-yard line with two minutes left, Stafford chucked it deep down the right sideline for Odell Beckham Jr.
