Amid a report about a potential firing, #Bears coach Matt Nagy gets a Thanksgiving W with a last-second FG. The hope was the report would galvanize the locker room. For this week, it all results in a win.

Bears inactives: Justin Fields, Damien Williams, Allen Robinson, Teez Tabor, Jesper Horsted, Akiem Hicks and Mario Edwards Jr. Eddie Jackson makes his return at safety. He had a pick-6 here on Thanksgiving 2018. Without Robinson, should be another busy day for Darnell Mooney.

Bears' WR Allen Robinson II officially inactive for today's game vs. Detroit. As are Justin Fields, Damien Williams, Akiem Hicks and Jesper Horsted.

Sources: #Bears QB Justin Fields, already ruled out today, suffered a few cracked ribs on Sunday, further testing revealed. The X-Ray and CT scans were clean, but the MRI showed the additional issues. They are tiny fractures, not deemed major, and Fields should return shortly.

Bears say WR Marquise Goodwin is questionable to return due to a foot injury.

Bears LB Roquan Smith is the voice in the middle of the team huddle. It's become a regular occurrence. pic.twitter.com/B3PoaCubaj

Starting to think the Bears shouldn't have asked Cairo Santos to attempt that field goal that was never going to work in Pittsburgh.

11 sacks for OLB Robert Quinn. That's the most for a Bears player since Khalil Mack's 12.5 in 2018.

Jimmy Graham is the only active player in the NFL with 70+ career TD receptions who doesn't currently play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Artie Burns with the starting defensive unit so looks like Kindle Vildor has been benched by the #Bears

Has anyone quantified the amount of yardage Jakeem Grant has cost the Bears in field position by not taking the touchback?

Continuing with the #thanksgiving love, Akiem Hicks @The_Dream99 teamed up w/ Eat Clean Chicago for his fourth annual Thanksgiving turkey distribution for the local Boys & Girls Club, where the @ChicagoBears lineman passed out food and engaged with the kids on his own birthday. pic.twitter.com/06N8X6ife2

Bears offensive tackle Teven Jenkins is working out before the game. He appears to be getting closer. He's continued to practice at Halas Hall, too. pic.twitter.com/dFd02iya6b

Cole Kmet has six catches for 46 yards. At some point, Kmet has to be an every-week priority for this offense. It's ridiculous how uneven his first two years have been through no fault of his own.

#Bears injury update: LB Sam Kamara is being evaluated for a concussion.

Roquan Smith set a career high in tackles Sunday. | Photo by Jonathan Daniel/Getty ImagesSmith went into the injury tent during the Lions’ ill-fated drive that ended in a fourth-and-30 and soon had his helmet taken away. DETROIT — Roquan Smith, the centerpiece of the Bears’ defense, hurt his hamstring in the second quarter of Thursday’s game against the Lions and did not return.Smith went into the injury tent during the Lions’ ill-fated drive that ended in a fourth-and-30 and soon had his helmet taken away. Christian Jones, who’s played two stints with the Bears and one with the Lions, took his place.Smith has been the Bears’ best player this season. He had a career-high 17 tackles Sunday agains the Ravens, giving him 110 for the season. Only two NFL players had more entering this week. Cornerback Jaylon Johnson called Smith a “monster” on Monday.“You take it for granted when you’re on his team. ...” he said. “He really leads our team. He really brings us all together. He plays with a different mindset. You can see it on the field.”The Bears’ linebacker depth is being tested. The team put Danny Trevathan on injured reserve last week, ending his season.

Sam Mustipher just snapped the ball like he was under center with the QB in shotgun. A reasonable response to that is, "How could you not realize someone's hands are down there?" But I can tell you from experience…it is possible.

Nice to see Eddie Goldman playing like Eddie Goldman again. Let's see if the Bears can take advantage of some good field position … he typed after Jakeem Grant didn't catch the punt and it rolled to the 25.

Trevis Gipson has been a dude who has been ready for his opportunity. Hard-working, humble kid who is making legit strides.

Eddie Jackson is active today for the Bears at the site of one of his brightest career moments.

Jaylon Johnson with a textbook Peanut Punch. That's a big-time play by one of the Bears' best young players and a dude who seems to have the passion and no-BS attitude that serves this team well.

Bears safety Eddie Jackson has missed the equivalent of three games after getting hurt on the second snap against the 49ers. | AP PhotosThe defense is also down Khalil Mack for the season and ruled out Akiem Hicks. The Bears were counting on their defense again this season, but that’s hard to rely on with so many players injured. They’re already down outside linebacker Khalil Mack for the season and have been without defensive tackle Akiem Hicks, and they’ve been missing safety Eddie Jackson since he hurt his hamstring against the 49ers.Offensively, starting quarterback Justin Fields is out because of a rib injury he suffered against the Ravens, so Andy Dalton will start and Nick Foles will be active as the backup. There also was concern about them listing wide receiver Allen Robinson (hamstring) as doubtful and running back Damien Williams (knee) and wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (shoulder) as questionable. Robinson and Williams are out; Goodwin will play. Here are the Bears’ inactives Sunday against the Ravens:QB Justin FieldsRB Damien WilliamsWR Allen RobinsonTE Jesper HorstedDT Akiem HicksDL Mario Edwards (ribs)CB Teez TaborThe Bears opened the three-week window Monday for rookie offensive tackle Teven Jenkins to return from injured reserve, but have yet to activate him. They have to add him to the roster no later than next week against the Cardinals or he’ll be ineligible the rest of the season.

Lions say RB D'Andre Swift is questionable to return today due to a shoulder injury.

Josh Reynolds somehow couldn't crack the top ~5 on Tennessee's WR depth chart, but he's already Detroit's top perimeter WR (and making plays)

#Lions coach Dan Campbell told reporters that RB D'Andre Swift sprained his shoulder. Same one as in Pittsburgh. He'll undergo tests.

R.J. White has his finger on the pulse of D'Andre Swift, T.J. Hockenson, and the Detroit Lions

Godwin Igwebuike was a safety until a couple weeks before training camp. He's now averaging 14.2 yards per carry on the season

Give me Jamaal Williams eating a turkey during a postgame interview after a W today. Need it.

To be clear: That was the best throw I've seen Jared Goff make.

I know we're all fixated on the double timeout, but I have no idea what the hell Will Harris was doing on the third-and-4 coming out of it. Was giving Byrd 7-8 yards of cushion, continued to play off Byrd as he ran past the sticks, when the 1st down was going to kill them

Um... Sheila Ford Hamp has owned the Lions for one year. In that time she blew up the entire organization knowing they needed a reboot. Seems like she should get more than a year and shouldn't have to pay for the mistakes of her parents. But, that's just me. twitter.com/MichaelDavSmit…

Frank Ragnow is currently demonstrating a turkey call on the videoboards at Ford Field. Best center in the league IMO

Austin Bryant ripped his helmet off after that TD and appeared to be screaming at Charles Harris. He was frantically trying to get the D-line shuffled before the snap, so the Lions were out of place that whole time.

Detroit Lions inactives: G Halapoulivaati Vaitai OLB Trey Flowers T Matt Nelson QB David Blough WR Trinity Benson

Alex Anzalone says the Lions went out in cover 0 on that last third down — he checked to cover 2 when Chicago checked max protect. Half the defense switched. Half didn't. Check was correct. The Lions couldn't get organized.

With Trey Flowers out, the Lions have activated Jessie Lemonier for the first time this season

And Austin Bryant was pissed at someone. Took his helmet off, yelling at someone on the other side of the ball (on defense).

Add in a Christian Jones holding penalty and Jack Fox's punt from the back of his own end zone pins the Bears at their own 16-yard line. Just a chance for Dalton and the Bears' offense to pad their stats!

feel like I've thought this three or four times already ... but this is another game with proof that Levi Onwuzurike should be on the field a shit load over the next month. Rep load needs to soar.

Lions went from first-and-10 at the 30 to first-and-25 at the 45 after penalties on Hockenson (his 8th of the year) and Evan Brown.

Jalen Reeves-Maybin shaken up for the second time today

Halapoulivaati Vaitai is going through a light workout right now. Good sign after he suffered that concussion last Sunday.
