Evgeni Malkin Out Again
Evgeni Malkin will be missing his third straight game in a row on Tuesday. The Pittsburgh Penguins are set to take on the Buffalo Sabres, and Malkin will not be traveling with the team.
Malkin sustained an upper-body injury last Wednesday against the Flyers, and hasn't been on the ice since.
Evgeni stands right behind superstar Sidney Crosby in most goals scored for the Penguins this season. He is a huge presence both on and off the ice for the team, and is sorely missed when he is gone. Luckily Crosby is healthy right now and has been able to carry the load in Malkin's absence.
As of now there is no timetable for Malkin's return, and apparently he has been dealing with this issue for some time. The Penguins are set to travel and play the Ottawa Senators and be back for a home game on Friday.
