Ryan Callahan Out 4 Weeks
Ryan Callahan has not played since January 7th, and is now expected to miss the next four weeks with a lower-body injury.
Tampa Bay Lightning coach Jon Cooper was concerned about Callahan playing in Friday's game. Cooper thought that Callahan might not be ready to take the ice after dealing with a previous lower-body injury that kept him off the ice for 15 games. Callahan is a leader on the team, and his desire to play is clear to see. Coach Cooper knows how hard it must be for Callahan to take a back seat and wait to get healthy.
Even though Callahan only has two goals and two assists this season, he is a large part of the team. Hopefully he is fully healed after sitting out the next four weeks and is able to return to his better, playing better than ever.
