Feb 8th 10:00 AM EST.

These are the top 10 waiver wire trends for the week of February 8th. This week includes Andre Burakovsky, Vincent Trocheck, Cam Talbot, David Perron, Chris Kunitz, Jordan Staal, Frederik Andersen. These Waiver Alerts have already gone out to our members over the past past week as soon as we spotted them.

As always, if you want customized waiver alerts, weekly projections, and more then head over to the Fantasy Assistant. It's free to try and totally customizable to your league.

Burakovsky took 10 shots, including one that he sniped short side past Florida goalie Al Montoya, in Tuesday's 5-2 loss.

Burakovsky is on fire, as he's registered 10 points in his last seven outings. In January alone, the young winger had four multi-point games, which is more than he managed in the other three months of the season combined. Burakovsky got a chance to skate big minutes in this one with Alex Ovechkin (lower body) forced to sit after dipping out of the All-Star Game, so while it's good to see him keep producing, his minutes are slated to drop back from Tuesday's 18:20 to the 12-to-14 range. It'll be hard for the kid to keep up his recent torrid pace while his ice time's so limited.Burakovsky tallied his 10th goal of the season in Saturday's 3-2 shootout win over the Devils.

Burakovsky scored in the first period, and has amassed 10 goals and 21 points in 46 games this season -- although he has 12 of those points in his last nine games. Showing improved confidence and solid chemistry with Williams and Evgeny Kuznetsov on a potent second line, the 23rd overall pick for the 2013 Draft is worth adding in all formats if available.

Burakovsky scored another goal Thursday in a win over the Isles, pushing his goal streak to four games and his point streak to five.

Alex Ovechkin's return to the lineup didn't result in a major demotion for his fellow Russian, who skated a season-high 18:20 on Tuesday and a still-strong 16:19 in this one. The Caps' 2013 first-round pick (No. 23 overall) has really started coming into his own, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him cling to a top-six role; after all, he doesn't exactly have the stiffest of competition for that second-line left wing job.

Vincent Trocheck has scored five goals and three assists during his current four-game point streak.

He is having a career year with 17 goals and 32 points in 51 games. "I think experience has a lot to do with it; I've worked at a lot of different aspects to my game," said Trocheck. "I'm focusing on the defensive side of the puck more and realize if you work hard on the defensive side, it will create more offense. You always want to improve, and I've worked on everything throughout the summer and year. I feel good about things. You don't want to get too high or too low on yourself." He will get to play against his hometown Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday night.Florida Panthers coach Gerard Gallant chafes at any suggestion of a hierarchy among his lines. He also sees a bigger picture when attention is heaped on the team's most highly-touted young stars.Take Vincent Trocheck, a third-round draft pick who tends to get overlooked by outsiders because teammates...

Trocheck tallied a goal and an assist against the Capitals on Tuesday.

Tuesday's matchup was Trocheck's second consecutive multi-point game. The center has been lighting the lamp with regularity recently, as he's found the back of the net three times in as many nights. This comes after he rode out a six-game slump in which he failed to record a point.

Cam Talbot allowed two goals on 38 shots as the Oilers easily beat the Senators 7-2 on Thursday night.

Talbot pitched his second straight 36-save winning performance and improved to 10-15-3 this season with a 2.54 goals against average and .916 save percentage.Talbot was pulled following the second period after allowing four goals on 23 shots Saturday.

While it certainly was a game to forget for Talbot and the Oilers, fantasy owners could get a break as the short outing could allow the team to start him Sunday in Brooklyn. Fantasy owners shouldn't panic about one bad game from Talbot as his play of late will allow him to have a stinker or two and still not lose the starting job.

Cam Talbot stopped 19 of 23 shots being being pulled in a 5-1 loss to the Habs on Saturday.

Talbot made some key saves but wasn't good enough for the Oilers today. After strong back-to-back games, he continued his inconsistent season today. Even with the poor performance today, he could still prove worthy of a spot on your fantasy team down the stretch.

Perron scored a goal, and added two assists in Thursday's 4-2 win in Los Angeles.

Perron has flourished in Anaheim since coming over from the Penguins on Jan. 16, as he now has three goals and five assists in his first six games with the Ducks. He is really meshing on Anaheim's top line alongside Ryan Getzlaf and Chris Stewart, with seven of his eight points with the team so far coming at even strength.LOS ANGELES — David Perron had a goal and two assists, and Ryan Getzlaf added a goal and his 500th career assist in the streaking Anaheim Ducks' 4-2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night.Ryan Garbutt scored his second goal in two games and Hampus Lindholm added a power-play goal in Anaheim's fifth straight victory and 12th in 16 games since Christmas. The Ducks chased Jonathan Quick while routing the Pacific Division-leading Kings, who have lost four of six in regulation for the first time this season.

David Perron will make his first return to Pittsburgh since being traded to the Anaheim Ducks earlier this season.

Perron never really found his footing in Pittsburgh and it ended up with him being shipped to Anaheim after playing 86 games with the Pens. The 27-year-old has really been playing well since joining the Ducks. He has three goals and eight points in seven games with Anaheim. "I think the [Western Conference] is obviously a more grinding type of game," Perron said. "I’m not the biggest guy but I think that fits my style. I’m not always on the go or something like that or always wanting to get a break or something like that. Yeah, it’s nice if you get two-on-ones and stuff like that but I think I like to cycle the puck in the [offensive] zone."

Kunitz registered his ninth goal and added a pair of assists in a 6-5 victory over Ottawa on Tuesday.

He entered Tuesday as a game-time decision and left it with his biggest game of 2015-16. Kunitz finished with three hits and a plus-3 rating, showing no effects of the lower-body injury which limited him to one skate in the last week (prior to Tuesday). He's scored eight points (4G, 4A) in his last six contests but keep in mind he had only two points in the previous 13.Kunitz (lower body) will play against Ottawa on Tuesday, Root Sports in Pittsburgh reports.

He'll take his customary spot at left wing on Sidney Crosby's line. Kunitz has three goals and five points in his last five games and makes for a decent play against the Senators.

Chris Kunitz will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's game against the Ottawa Senators.

Kunitz suffered the injury on January 21 after he fell into the boards awkwardly. "I felt pretty good. I haven’t skated in a little more than a week," Kunitz said. "Every day that’s gone by, I’ve felt better and better, done more and more. I think [Sunday was] the first time being on the ice and doing the motions of shooting, where your legs go one way, body going the other… I really want to be in the games and play. Hopefully, I respond well [today] and can get back with the team."

Jordan Staal had a goal and two assists in Friday's 5-3 win over the Winnipeg Jets.

The Hurricanes jumped out to a 4-0 lead after 20 minutes, and Staal contributed a goal and an assist in that time. He also picked up the primary helper on Andrej Nestrasil's third period goal to restore a multi-goal lead for the Canes. Staal has eight points in his last six contests. He's accumulated 12 goals and 30 points in 2015-16.Jordan Staal has recorded at least a point in five of his last six games.

Staal has two goals and eight points over that span. He got off to a quiet start this season, but he's been great in 2016 with 15 points in 15 contests.

Staal scored a goal and earned two assists in Friday's 5-3 win over Winnipeg. He also skated to a plus-3.

Staal was a major catalyst in the Canes' four-goal outburst in the first half of the first period, picking up two of his three points on the night in a span of 1:28. Nine of his 30 points this year have come in the last eight games, so he may be worth a waiver-wire acquisition while he's rolling.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - Ryan Garbutt, Hampus Lindholm and Rickard Rakell scored to send the Anaheim Ducks past the San Jose Sharks 3-2 on Tuesday night for their fourth consecutive victory. Frederik Andersen stopped 30 shots for Anaheim, which has climbed back into playoff contention with an 11-3-1 record since ...Frederik Andersen is likely to start Tuesday's game versus San Jose.

He was the first goaltender off the ice at the morning skate, which suggest he will play. The Ducks appear to be giving John Gibson a break after he competed in the NHL's All-Star weekend.

Frederik Andersen made 30 saves in a 3-2 win over San Jose on Tuesday.

Andersen needed another start like this to get a back in the picture for the number one job in Anaheim."He's basically the reason we won," Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said. "I thought we were pretty sloppy as a group and we didn't play as well as we've been playing. When that happens, you need your goalie." He has a ways to go with the way John Gibson has played but this was a good start. It should be noted that he has won four straight starts though it looks like a two-way race now for the number one job in Orange County right now. He brings his 2.37 GAA and .918 save percentage in 25 games into his next start.
