Top Fantasy Hockey Waiver Pickups for the Week of Nov 30th

Nov 30th 10:00 AM EST.

These are the top 10 waiver wire trends for the week of November 30th. This week includes Antti Raanta, Teddy Purcell, Connor Hellebuyck, Travis Hamonic, Mike Condon, John Gibson, Paul Stastny, Karri Ramo, Devante Smith-Pelly, Cody McLeod. These Waiver Alerts have already gone out to our members over the past past week as soon as we spotted them.

As always, if you want customized waiver alerts, weekly projections, and more then head over to the Fantasy Assistant. It's free to try and totally customizable to your league.

With Henrik Lundqvist in net on Friday against Boston, Antti Raanta will get the nod Saturday afternoon against Philadelphia.

Hey even The King needs a rest now and then. Raanta meanwhile has been excellent thus far for the Rangers, stopping 107 of 112 shots in four starts and victories. Though rivalry games are typically different, and Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek are having nice seasons, the Flyers are last in the NHL in team shooting percentage at just 5.7%. Making Raanta a strong play if you're in need of a sneaky strong goalie start.Raanta will start in goal Saturday versus the Flyers, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.

Starting goalie Henrik Lundqvist went to work as recently as Friday and allowed four goals in a losing effort to the Bruins, so it makes sense that Raanta gets the second draw of a back-to-back set. Raanta has been awesome in limited work as the backup to Lunqvist, notching wins in all four starts along with a 1.20 GAA and .955 save percentage in that span.

Raanta suffered his first loss of the season Saturday when he allowed two goals in a 3-0 loss to the Flyers.

He's been a lock for a win this season whenever he's gotten a bit off offensive support. He continues to be a solid play whenever he's between the pipes, but his value really is restricted to deep daily formats leagues.

Teddy Purcell is taking full advantage of playing alongside Taylor Hall and Leon Draisaitl.

While Hall and Draisaitl are getting all the publicity, Purcell has quietly picked up seven points in his last six contests. He has four goals and 11 points in 20 games this season but it has been his production of late that should have his fantasy owners excited.Purcell picked up two points in a second consecutive contest, bringing his season total to four goals and six assists in 19 games.

Purcell has six points in his last five games, but it's unlikely that the 30-year-old winger will be able to maintain that pace considering the fact that he put up only 34 points in 82 games as a member of the Oilers in 2014-15. He has upside as long as he stays on a line with Taylor Hall and Leon Draisaitl, but Purcell's fantasy value will take a major downturn should he be booted from Edmonton's top line.

Teddy Purcell registered two assist in a 4-3 overtime loss to Chicago.

Purcell has only been held off the scoresheet in one of his last five games. He has four goals and six assists in 19 contests this season.

Dustin Byfuglien had a goal and assist, Connor Hellebuyck made 14 saves to win his NHL debut and the Winnipeg Jets spoiled left winger Zach Parise's return from a knee injury by beating the Minnesota Wild 3-1 on Friday. Mathieu Perreault added his second goal in two games and Nikolaj Ehlers' goal late in the third put the game away. The Jets won on the road for the first time in their last seven tries and for just the third time in their last 11 games.Connor Hellebuyck stopped 14 of 15 shots in a 3-1 victory on Friday.

The Jets were able to help out Hellebuyck in his first career start. He only faced three shots in the first period and five in the third.

Hellebuyck grabbed a win in his NHL debut, stopping 14 of 15 Minnesota shots.

The Wild didn't give Hellebuyck too much to handle in his debut, but that may have been perfect. The 22-year-old may have earned himself another start in the near future.

Mike Condon interviewed for an internship on Wall Street after his junior year at Princeton University.Mike Condon will get the nod against New Jersey on Friday.

Dustin Tokarski will be called up from the minors to serve as his backup after Carey Price aggravated his lower-body injury on Wednesday night. Condon stopped all 11 shots he faced in the third period after he replaced Price in Montreal's 5-1 win against the Rangers.

Condon won in a shootout Friday after stopping 25 of 27 shots from the host Devils between regulation and overtime.

Condon allowed the game's first two goals in the second stanza, though the Habs went on to pick up two late goals of their own to create bonus hockey. The backup netminder let just one of five skaters (Jacob Josefson) beat him in the shootout frame. No. 1 goalie Carey Price is back on injured reserve with a leg injury, and Condon figures to get most (if not all) of the starts in his absence.

By Kyle Shohara | AnaheimDucks.comTaking part in Anaheim’s optional morning skate at Honda Center today were two players recently recalled from San Diego. Summonsed from the Gulls were goaltender John Gibson and center Chris Mueller, and reass...Gibson yielded three goals on 32 shots in Friday's 3-2 overtime loss to Chicago.

Gibson is getting time between the pipes as the result of Frederik Andersen dealing with the flu. He was cruising against the defending Stanley Cup champs Friday by not allowing any goals in the first two periods. However, Chicago scored twice in the final two minutes of regulation and Gibson was ultimately beaten in the 3-on-3 overtime period by Artem Anisimov.

John Gibson stopped 19-of 20 shots in Anaheim's 5-3 win over Calgary on Tuesday.

It was his debut appearance this season and not a bad one as he was called into action after Anton Khudobin got the hook early. Last season he acquitted himself pretty well at the NHL level with a 13-8 record and 2.60 goals-against-average in 23 appearances.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Blues forward Paul Stastny will return to the lineup for St. Louis' game at Buffalo on Monday night after missing 16 games with a broken right foot. In confirming Stastny will return, coach Ken Hitchcock said veteran forward Scott Gomez will be a healthy scratch. Stastny ...BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -- Blues forward Paul Stastny will return to the lineup for St. Louis' game at Buffalo on Monday night after missing 16 games with a broken right foot.

Stastny registered a power-play goal and a primary assist in Wednesday's 4-3, overtime loss to the Penguins.

Stastny was held off the scoresheet Monday against the Sabres, his first game back from a broken right foot injury that kept him out of 16 games. However, he shifted into a much higher gear in this latest contest, firing five shots on net and picking up three hits. Stastny now has seven points in as many games this campaign.

Karri Ramo will be the Flames' starter on Friday.

It will be Ramo's 10th consecutive start, which is quite the turnaround for a goaltender that spent some time in the minors earlier this season. He has a 3.22 GAA and .898 save percentage in 12 contests this season.Ramo stopped 18 of 19 shots in Friday's overtime win over the Blackhawks.

It was the 10th straight start for Ramo, who now now won three of his past four games. The 29-year-old has been playing very well of late and has boosted his save percentage into the .900 range (.901). Keep him rolling, as he's starting every night for the Flames right now and has allowed three goals or less in five straight outings.

Karri Ramo will get the nod Tuesday when Calgary visits Anaheim.

Ramo has won three of his last four outings and he has allowed three goals or less in each of past five appearances.

Devante Smith-Pelly netted a pair of goals in Montreal's 5-1 win over the New York Rangers on Wednesday night.

The promotion to the top line worked out wonderfully for Smith-Pelly, as he filled in for injured winger Brenden Gallagher in the contest. Tomas Plekanec assisted on both of DSP's markers. He has three goals and eight points in 22 games this year, but skating with Plekanec and Max Pacioretty looks like it will give him a nice fantasy boost.Smith-Pelly was inactive for Sunday's game against the Islanders due to a lower-body injury, Hockey Inside Out reports.

The Canadiens called up two players -- Sven Andrighetto and Bud Holloway -- from St. John's over the weekend as both Smith-Pelly and Torrey Mitchell (lower body, IR) are hurting right now. Additionally, Brendan Gallagher is out indefinitely after suffering broken fingers in Sunday's win over the Islanders, leaving Montreal a bit thin at right wing. There's a possibility Smith-Pelly can return in time for Wednesday night's game in New York against the Rangers.

Devante Smith-Pelly is expected to be back in the lineup Wednesday and skating on the top line.

He practiced alongside Tomas Plekanec and Max Pacioretty on Tuesday because Brendan Gallagher is slated to miss at least six weeks after he suffered two fractured fingers on his left hand. Smith-Pelly sat out last Sunday's game with a lower-body injury, so his availability will be confirmed during Wednesday's morning skate. Still, it looks likely that he'll play and coach Michel Therrien doesn't want him to change his game because he's on the top line.

Cody McLeod nearly had a Gordie Howe hat trick, but his assist was taken away from Blake Comeau's empty-net marker.

McLeod started the game with a fight with Chris Thorburn and he scored his fifth goal of the season when the puck hit him in front of the net. He also required five-to-six stitches above his left eye during the second intermission after he was clipped by a high stick. McLeod is first in the NHL in penalty minutes with 64 in 21 games. The Avalanche got third-period goals from Cody McLeod and Matt Duchene to defeat the Winnipeg Jets 4-1 Monday to conclude a grueling seven-game, 15-day road trip on the positive side.

WINNIPEG - Cody McLeod scored the winner in the third period to lift the Colorado Avalanche 4-1 over the Winnipeg Jets on Monday night.Former Jets defenceman Zach Redmond's shot from in close clipped McLeod and rolled past Winnipeg goaltende...
