Game Stats
The Dolphins earned a big 23-15 win over the Rams. Miami scored the only two touchdowns in the contest.
Miami had just 238 total yards of offense, with 67 on the ground and 207 through the air. The Dolphins had two turnovers, were called for one penalty and got sacked three times.
Los Angeles had 327 total yards of offense, with 70 on the ground and 293 through the air. The Rams had two turnovers and six penalties and were sacked four times.
Miami Offensive Leaders
With under 250 yards of offense, you can probably guess that not many Dolphins had big fantasy days. The real star for Miami was kicker Jason Sanders, who made three field goals and two extra points.
Tyreek Hill had just 16 receiving yards on three catches and four targets, while rushing twice for 11 yards. He caught a one-yard touchdown to make it a respectable fantasy day, but it was still pretty underwhelming.
Hill was nursing a wrist injury, but still played 87% of the offensive snaps. You can just chalk this up as another disappointing fantasy outing for a guy who was expected to compete for the No. 1 fantasy spot overall this season. It’d make sense to bench Hill in some standard leagues, but it’s hard to because of his upside.
Malik Washington scored the other touchdown for Miami, doing so on an 18-yard rush. He had a 17-yard catch across two targets.
Washington has only been playing about 1/3 of the team’s offensive snaps, which doesn’t make him a very good fantasy asset in any leagues. He’s a player to keep an eye on in deeper leagues in case the Dolphins decide to incorporate the rookie a bit more going forward.
De'Von Achane went for 37 rushing yards on 12 carries. He caught all five of his targets, but for just 15 yards.
The PPR points helped Achane turn in a respectable fantasy score, but again, it was underwhelming for fantasy owners. Achane has more tough matchups ahead, so it might be time to consider selling high on the RB.
It’s noteworthy that Jaylen Wright got all five backup carries among the running backs. He only went for three yards, however. Raheem Mostert didn’t get a carry, but did have 34 receiving yards on two catches and three targets.
Achane played 37 of a possible 53 offensive snaps. Wright was on the field for just nine and Mostert eight. It might be time to cut ties with Mostert, but I think I’d wait one more week in case this week was just an outlier.
Jaylen Waddle had a solid night, going for 57 yards on three catches and six targets. He got a rushing attempt as well, but lost a yard.
It’s been a disappointing season for Waddle, and even though he led the team in receiving yards in this one, it didn’t lead to a great fantasy night. It’s a step in the right direction though, and might mean better things are in store for Waddle going forward.
Jonnu Smith is the only other Dolphin who is really on the fantasy radar at this point. He had 45 yards on three grabs and four targets.
It might not seem like a great fantasy showing, but he was a top-20 PPR TE in week 10. He’s got very tough matchups ahead, so he’s really just a streaming option against weaker defenses.
Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa had a so-so day. He was 20-of-28, throwing for 207 yards and a touchdown, but he also threw a pick and lost a fumble. Tua didn’t add anything as a runner.
There’s more favorable matchups coming for Tagovailoa, but he’s hard to trust right now. He’s a better deep-league option, and should probably only be used in standard leagues in a pinch.
Rams’ Offensive Leaders
Puka Nacua turned in a big outing, but without a touchdown, he couldn’t post top-end fantasy numbers this week. He had 98 yards on nine catches and 14 targets.
Cooper Kupp had a good showing as well. He caught all seven of his targets for 80 yards.
Nacua and Kupp are two locked-in every-week fantasy starters. They got some tougher matchups coming, but that doesn’t matter at this point. Get them both in your starting lineups and be confident in both delivering good/great results every time out.
Not many other LA pass catchers delivered on Monday night.
Tight end Davis Allen had 34 yards on five catches and six targets.
He played 80% of the offensive snaps, while Colby Parkinson was at just 16%, so Allen now appears to be the best fantasy option. Allen is still not a really good fantasy option, especially with so many tough matchups coming, but he’s worth tracking at the very least.
Tyler Johnson had 25 yards on three catches and four targets. Demarcus Robinson had 23 yards on a catch and five targets. Tutu Atwell had a six-yard catch on his lone target.
All three wideouts are deep-league options, but not really good ones. If Kupp or Nacua are out again, then one of those three could step up, but with no clear leader, it’s tough to know which to add and play.
Kyren Williams was another good fantasy option for LA on Monday. He had 62 rushing yards on 15 attempts and 20 receiving yards on five grabs and six targets. Williams lost a fumble as well.
He’s playing just about every snap and is usually a great scoring threat (even after not scoring in two straight). Williams is still a must-start fantasy player.
Blake Corum got all the backup RB work. He had just eight yards on two rushing attempts and a seven-yard catch on his lone target. Corum is just a handcuff to Williams at this point, and not a good starting option in any leagues.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford had 293 passing yards, but it took 46 attempts and 32 completions to get there. He didn’t throw a touchdown and was picked off once. Stafford also fumbled twice, but didn’t lose any to lower his fantasy score even more.
Without a touchdown, Stafford’s fantasy score was really lacking. He’s still a solid weekly streaming option, and should have better fantasy days ahead.
IDP Standouts
Miami’s Jordyn Brooks had 11 combined tackles on Monday. It was his second time in double digits for tackles, and he now has 73 total on the season. Brooks hasn’t added many other stats, but is still a good weekly IDP option because of all the tackles he gets.
Dolphins’ Anthony Walker had nine tackles and an interception. He has 19 tackles over the past two weeks, so he’s definitely on the IDP radar, even if it’s just in some deeper setups.
Los Angeles’ Christian Rozeboom had three tackles, three passes defensed and an interception on Monday. He’s usually a better tackler, but made up for it with his work in pass coverage. Rozeboom is a solid weekly IDP option.
Rams’ Jared Verse had four tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He now has 3.5 sacks over the past three games, and 37 total tackles on the season, so he’s worthy of starts in deeper IDP leagues, at least.
