Week 9 Fantasy Football Trade Value Charts: Mark Andrews The Ideal Buy-Low Trade Candidate

Matt Brandon Nov 1st 2:09 PM EDT.

Midway through the fantasy football season, there aren’t many gems left on the waiver wire so improving your roster through trades is pivotal. Finding players to target at a discount and selling your own players who are exceeding expectations are strategies to utilize when trading in fantasy football. Mark Andrews has six fantasy points over his last two games. He is the ideal buy-low trade candidate due to his propensity for massive outings.

Let’s take a look at a few of the best buy-low and sell-high trade candidates heading into Week 9 of the NFL season.

Fantasy SP is proud to announce the recent launch of our NFL DFS Optimizer! Dominate on DraftKings, FanDuel, and Yahoo with our trustworthy Lineup Generator!

Week 9 Fantasy Football Buy-Low Targets

QB Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills (18.90)

Josh Allen should not be the fourth-highest ranked quarterback in the Quarterback Trade Value Charts, he should be the first. While Jalen Hurts is having an outstanding season, Allen is a more valuable fantasy football quarterback than Joe Burrow (20.03) and Patrick Mahomes (19.54). Allen has some of the most dynamic weapons in the league with Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis on the outside, Dawson Knox at tight end, Isaiah McKenzie, plus a great pass-catching running back in Devin Singletary. Allen may have dipped in the rankings due to a Week 7 bye and a less-than-stellar performance in Week 8. Allen threw for 200+ yards and tosses two touchdowns but was also picked off twice. He did add 49 rushing yards to help his stat line but it wasn’t the vintage Josh Allen we’re used to seeing. Expect Allen to bounce back against a tough New York Jets secondary in Week 9. If you aren’t happy with your quarterback and sense the owner of Allen is frustrated due to his poor Week 8 performance, consider offering him your quarterback and a flex option for Allen. You won’t be sorry. Allen’s value hasn’t been this low all season. Now is the time to capitalize.

TE Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens (23.94)

Mark Andrews is going through a dismal two-week stretch. In Week 7, Andrews failed to catch a single pass and finished with four rushing yards on one attempt. Many pundits were saying that Andrews was fighting through an injury while others speculated that the Browns simply game planned to completely take away Lamar Jackson’s go-to target. Well, despite another questionable tag leading up to Week 8, Andrews was given the green light to suit up. He caught two passes on the first drive and was looking good before exiting in the second quarter after catching just three passes for 33 yards. Isaiah Likely stepped up significantly in Andrews’ absence and emerged as the team’s top target in Week 8. However, Andrews should be back in Week 9, though he’s sure to be tagged as questionable again. Although there is some risk in targeting Andrews given his poor last two outings and a looming Week 10 bye, I’m willing to bet that Andrews will be worth the bargain. Even if Andrews is out in Week 9, you might get even more bang for your buck so keep an eye on his injury status before proposing a trade. You also may want to wait one more week since the Ravens face the New Orleans Saints in Week 9, who allow the third-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends. Whether it’s this week or after Baltimore’s bye week, Andrews is going to get back on track. There is no doubt about that.

Week 9 Fantasy Football Sell-High Targets

RB Jamaal Williams, Detroit Lions (19.41)

Jamaal Williams has been having an excellent season for the Lions. However, D’Andre Swift is active again which will immediately impacts Willams’ fantasy production for the remainder of the season. With Swift back in action for the Lions, Williams’ caliber of production over the last few weeks simply won’t hold. That said, fantasy owners should not drop Williams by any means. Even in Swift’s return from injury in Week 8, J-Will managed 10 carries for 53 yards and a touchdown, plus three receptions for an additional 23 receiving yards. Williams has standalone value when Swift is healthy but he’s a legitimate RB1 when Swift is out. Now that Swift has returned, you could sell J-Will at an inflated price. I don’t think any smart fantasy managers would offer Kenneth Walker III for Williams but it’s worth a shot given their current values on the Trade Value Chart. Williams is about to plummet down the chart so get something in return before nobody in your league wants him anymore.

RB Tony Pollard, Dallas Cowboys (18.70)

All the Tony Pollard truthers were ecstatic when Ezekiel Elliott was ruled out of Week 8’s contest. The fantasy football community got what they finally wanted. The Cowboys unleashed Tony Pollard with Zeke banged up on the sidelines. Pollard absolutely steamrolled the Chicago Bears, rushing 14 times for 131 yards, and three touchdowns, plus a reception for an additional 16 yards. The Cowboys head into their bye week feeling great about themselves and many speculate that Pollard will surpass Zeke on the depth chart. However, Jerry Jones has already said that this offense will “go as Zeke goes.” It looks like Pollard may have earned more playing time but Zeke is still going to be in the mix. Pollard will be an RB1 next year with Zeke out of the picture but right now, you can get a pretty solid return on your investment if you deal Pollard after his three-touchdown outing.

TE Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons (18.26)

Kyle Pitts owners, this is your chance to get rid of the second-year tight end. Last week, Arthur Smith finally forced Marcus Mariota to dial in on Pitts. The young tight end coralled five passes for 80 yards and a trip to the end zone. The question is whether this was the beginning of more to come or if this was an outlier. As much as I want to believe in Pitts, I suggest all fantasy owners trade him while his price is inflated. He’s currently listed ahead of superior tight ends such as George Kittle and Dallas Goedert on the Tight End Trade Value Charts. Once Cordarrelle Patterson returns, Pitts is also going to see a smaller target share. Now is the time to cut Pitts loose so long as you get a position of need or an upgrade in the trade. Pitts will not remain among the top five tight ends for much longer unless Week 8 truly wasn’t a fluke. I find that hard to believe considering it was against the Carolina Panthers. In Week 9, the Falcons face a Los Angeles Chargers secondary that ranks just around the league average in points allowed to opposing tight ends. Something tells me Pitts is going to be shut down. Sell, sell, sell!

So there you have it! Fantasy owners should go all in on Josh Allen and Mark Andrews but consider selling Kyle Pitts and Tony Pollard while their respective prices are inflated. Check back next week for an update on our Week 10 Fantasy Football Trade Value Charts!
