Week 14: Predicting Fantasy Football's Most Dropped Players
It’s that time of the week to look at who fantasy owners are dropping the most heading into Week 14. You can view our Predictive Adds article, but now we will take a look at the players' fantasy owners are giving up on as we gear up for the fantasy football postseason. In the final week of the fantasy regular season, it is not only critical to identify the top producers on the waiver wire, but it is also important to drop the players who have the least value moving forward.

Getting rid of players who have suffered season-ending injuries such as Christian McCaffrey are easy decisions. But other players who you have been holding out hope for may not be worth keeping on your roster anymore. There are still viable options on the waiver wire who potentially have more upside than the guys who have been keeping your bench warm.
Things will be quite difficult in Week 14 with four teams on byes (New England, Philadelphia, Miami, and Indianapolis). All four of those teams have tons of playmakers, so plenty of fantasy owners are likely going to need to find a bye-week replacement. It’s important to always look to improve your roster, especially so close to the fantasy postseason. Cutting underperforming players is simply a necessary evil. But to help you drop the right players, we will break down the players that real fantasy owners are giving up on heading into Week 14.
Predictive Analytics in a nutshell is a game-changer for fantasy players. No one else in the industry offers these types of insights. You will now be able to analyze the most important fantasy metrics of the current week BEFORE waivers are processed.

Philadelphia Eagles DEF/ST
The Eagles were one of the most coveted defenses for streaming purposes heading into Week 13. Fantasy owners are always looking to add the defense that is playing the woeful New York Jets, which is why the New Orleans Saints are being added at a higher rate than any other defense or player ahead of Week 14. However, the Eagles underperformed against Gang Green on Sunday. Zach Wilson produced three touchdowns and Philly only forced one interception. The Eagles did sack Wilson twice, but fantasy owners were looking for a much more dominant performance from an Eagles’ defensive unit trying to will its team to a postseason appearance. The Eagles will be sidelined in Week 14, but they have three very favorable matchups in the fantasy playoffs against Washington twice and the New York Giants. If you have an extra roster spot and you have already clinched a postseason berth, I would consider holding onto Philadelphia's defense. However, if you are in the win-or-go-home mode, I can understand dropping the Eagles for one of the several defenses with juicy matchups in Week 14.

RB Mark Ingram, New Orleans Saints
Ingram was featured in last week’s article because Alvin Kamara was expected to play in last Thursday’s matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. However, Kamara was a late scratch and Ingram served as the lead-back. Ingram never really got it going and a holding call negated his best run of the day, a 24-yard gain. Ingram finished with 28 rushing yards on 10 carries and one reception for negative two yards. With Kamara definitely on the mend and ready to play on Sunday against the Saints, fantasy owners seem to be cutting ties with Ingram. I think that’s a mistake, as New Orleans gets a tasty matchup with a Jets defense that is currently allowing the most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. While Taysom Hill limits the upside of both running backs, the Jets are so dreadful on the defensive line that both Kamara and Ingram could provide plenty of value in Week 14. Not to mention, Ingram has proven on a few occasions that he is a solid RB2 with upside should Kamara get injured again. Fantasy owners are overreacting to Ingram’s underwhelming performance in Week 13.
WR Antonio Brown, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
AB has not suited up in almost two months after suffering an injury and is now suspended after faking a vaccine card. Brown is not eligible to return until December 26, and there is a chance that the Bucs won’t bring him back at all. Fantasy owners can safely drop Brown. There is no point in holding onto a player who is likely to be out until the end of the season. There are wide receivers with upside who are still available in the majority of leagues such as Amon-Ra St. Brown and Russell Gage.

WR Corey Davis, New York Jets
Ever since Elijah Moore broke out in the middle of the season, Corey Davis’ role took a significant hit. Davis was decent at the beginning of the season but in the last three games he was active, he only accumulated 10 receptions for 143 yards. Now, it has been revealed that Davis won’t play another snap for the rest of the season. He suffered a core muscle injury during practice last week and the eight-week recovery time means he won’t be healthy until the season is over. Davis finished the season with 34 receptions, 492 receiving yards, and four touchdowns. Fantasy owners need to move on as we gear up for the postseason.

RB Kenyan Drake, Las Vegas Raiders
Are you beginning to see a theme here? Drake suffered a gruesome injury in the Raiders’ Week 13 loss to the Washington Football Team. He had to be carted off the field and he was later diagnosed with a broken ankle. Drake’s leg was rolled up when he was tackled, and his season is officially over. Josh Jacobs will probably see even more of the touches out of the backfield, but Drake owners may want to consider Jalen Richard, who should assume the pass-catching role out of the backfield once he comes off the COVID-19 list.
TE Logan Thomas, Washington Football Team
After missing seven weeks of the season, Thomas returned in Week 12 and was slowly eased into the offense. He produced three receptions on six targets for 31 yards. Thomas started Week 13 off with a bang by hauling in a tremendous one-handed grab for a touchdown on Washington’s first drive of the game against the Raiders. Thomas caught two more passes and finished with 48 yards before suffering what appeared to be a season-ending knee injury. However, an MRI revealed that he did not tear his ACL or MCL as initially feared. Still, he is expected to miss time and it is unknown exactly when he will return. If your league allows IR sports, simply slot him there and add a tight end off the waiver wire. I wouldn’t drop Thomas unless you are in dire need of a tight end for Week 14 and cannot afford to drop anyone else on your roster. Thomas could return for the fantasy playoffs and prove to be pivotal, as Washington has two matchups against an Eagles defense that allows the most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends.

WR Rashod Bateman, Baltimore Ravens
The rookie wide receiver has been very underwhelming in his debut campaign at the NFL level. Bateman saw a season-low one target and failed to record any receptions for the first time all season. Baltimore’s passing attack seems to be trending in the wrong direction. Plus, Bateman is already behind Marquise Brown and Mark Andrews in the pecking order. Even Sammy Watkins was more involved in the offense in the Ravens’ Week 13 loss to the Steelers. Fantasy owners can probably find someone more consistent or a player with more upside on the waiver wire. It’s time to cut ties with the rookie. He simply isn’t on the same page with Lamar Jackson and might need another offseason to develop a rapport with his star quarterback.
