Week 7: Stream Amon-Ra St. Brown At Wide Receiver
If you thought Week 6 was tough with four teams on bye, you must be shaking in your boots as we gear up for Week 7. Some of the top teams are off this week including the Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Minnesota Vikings, and the Jacksonville Jaguars. All of these teams have fantasy studs so it will be quite difficult to find a streaming replacement, especially if you missed out on the waiver wire.
At the wide receiver position, fantasy owners will need to find a replacement for studs such as Stefon Diggs, Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, Diontae Johnson, Chase Claypool, Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen, and several others. That is no easy task. So let’s dive in. Note: If you’re still abiding by the old “start your studs” saying and waiting on some of your preseason darlings to pan out (I’m looking at you, Miles Sanders, Robby Anderson, Brandon Aiyuk and Allen Robinson), it’s time to adjust your expectations.
Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions
Another week, another write-up for St. Brown. He’s yet to explode, but he’s seen 23 targets over the last three weeks and has emerged as a top target for the Lions. While I’m not a big believer in revenge game narratives, St. Brown has that going for him this week as Jared Goff faces his former team (if you’re into that sort of thing). T.J. Hockenson is the top target in Detroit, but you better believe that the Rams will do everything in their power to prevent Goff from dumping off short passes to the big tight end. I wouldn't be surprised if Hockenson was double covered, which would leave St. Brown with one-on-one opportunities. This is the week that he is going to shine. I'm boldly predicting eight receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown from the rookie.
Devante Parker, Miami Dolphins
He’s missed two games in a row, so it’s very easy to forget that Parker was seeing a lot of usage before he got hurt. He’s yet to see less than seven targets in a game this season and is averaging eight targets a game in the four games he’s played. And the best news of all? He gets a fantastic matchup against a bad Falcons defense this week. Don't be surprised if Parker eclipses 100 yards against Atlanta's poor secondary in Week 7.
Marquez Callaway, New Orleans Saints
Callaway was a late-round darling in fantasy drafts following a great preseason, but he found himself on waiver wires in a lot of leagues after a slow start to the season. He caught four of eight targets in Week 5 before the bye so he’s got some positive momentum heading into a nice matchup against a very mediocre Seahawks secondary.
Honorable Mentions: Bryan Edwards, Zach Pascal, Van Jefferson, Demarcus Robinson, Dyami Brown, Russell Gage, Jamison Crowder, Allen Lazard
