Top Wide Receivers to Target for Week 2

Lesley Tedeschi Sep 12th 3:43 PM EDT.

Its time to hit the waiver wire folks! The first week of the 2018 football season is in the books and its time to capitalize on the hot players of the week.

Ted Ginn on the New Orleans Saints had a nice start to the season hauling in five catches for 68 yards with a touchdown. Ginn was the third most targeted player on the Saints coming in behind Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara. If you are looking to grab a receiver Ginn is a great option. He is owned in 44% of leagues and being started in 33%.

Phillip Dorsett is another option to grab this week. Dorsett caught all 7 of his targets and scored a touchdown. He walked away with 66 yards on the day and will definitely be targeted moving forward. The New England Patriots will be looking to fill the shoes of Julian Edelman until his return from suspension. Dorsett is owned in a mere 20% of leagues and being stated in 10%. These numbers will go up this week and even if he's on your bench he's worth a pickup.

Over in Indianapolis, Ryan Grant is worth a spot if you have room on your bench. Grant was targeted nine times and hauled in right of those targets. He had 59 yards on the day, and Andrew Luck seems to like throwing to him. Grant is owned in 15% of leagues and being started in 11%. He might not be a number one receiver at the moment but his potential from bigger games is there.

Brandon Marshall has been in the game for quite awhile now and he's been a personal favorite for years. He doesn't provide the huge fantasy numbers he once did when he was a Bronco but I still like him! Marshall is playing with the Seahawks now and his role with the team will be larger due to Doug Baldwin's injury. Marshall was the hot red zone target during Sunday's game and he hauled in a touchdown, three receptions and 46 yards. Marshall is a free agent in plenty of leagues. Owned in 27% and started in 23%.

Quincy Enunwa is owned in 47% of leagues and might not be available everywhere. The New York Jets had an impressive victory on Monday night and Enunwa was part of that victory. He was targeted ten times and managed to catch six of those with a touchdown and 63 yards on the day. His start percentage is 21% at the moment, expect this number to rise this week.

These are the wide receivers I would look at this week. Its never too early to put someone on your bench for an upcoming bye week!
