Seahawks warned for not listing Sherman on injury report
The NFL has a strict policy that all significant injuries must be mentioned on an injury report. Well, the Seattle Seahawks violated that policy and have received a warning for not listing Richard Sherman on the injury report.
Richard Sherman did not miss a game last season, but he did miss practice time during the team's second half of the season. He was listed on the injury report for a total of 11 games.
The reason for his missing of practice was "non-injury related". A knee injury was never listed during the second half of the season.
However, coach Pete Carroll spilled the news in a recent radio interview with 710 ESPN Seattle when he said that Sherman "dealt with a significant knee injury the whole 2nd half of the season."
The Seahawks are lucky that they did not get docked a draft pick, which was discussed by league officials.
