Jacoby Brissett could be #2 quarterback in 2017/18
News is circulating today that the New England Patriots are open to trading away current #2 quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo according to Ian Rapoport.
Garoppolo showcased solid play for the Patriots when filling in for Brissett and Brady. In terms of value, this is the highest his value has been and it makes sense that the Patriots want to see what they can get for him in the open market.
Garoppolo ended 2016 with 504 passing yards, 4 touchdowns, no interceptions while completing 67% of his passes before hurting his shoulder and being forced out.
Jacoby Brissett proved he is a very capable backup quarterback in his own regard during the season. He ended 2016 with 400 yards passing, 67% completion with no touchdowns or interceptions and had 83 rushing yards for one touchdown before getting injured.
