RB Peyton Barber Week 8 waiver target
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a dream matchup last week against the San Francisco 49ers. The Bucs ran for over 200 yards and we even said that Rodgers was a must start. However, the big surprise was actually Peyton Barber who added 12 touches in garbage time.
Peyton Barber finished the game with 12 attempts for 84 yards and one touchdown. With Martin still sidelined, Barber looks like a decent running back to grab for those desperately thin at the position.
Let's be clear though, Jacquizz Rodgers is still the clear #1 running back with Charles Simms and Doug Martin sidelined. Barber may steal a touchdown and be more heavily involved with a big lead, but that is about it from him.
The Bucs head to Oakland to face off against the Raiders who have a poor run defense which is the 9th worst in the league. This game should be more competitive so don't expect any miracles from Barber in Week 8.
Barber is currently owned in 1% of leagues.
