Chicago Bears offense in Week 7 is a disaster
Since Brian Hoyer took over for Jay Cutler, the Chicago Bears had been on fire in the passing game, and things seemed to get on track in the running game as well.
Then Thursday Night football happened when Hoyer went down with a broken arm and they got shellacked against the Green Bay Packers 26 to 10. But even before Hoyer went down with an injury, the entire offense seemed extremely out of sorts.
So how bad were the Bears offensively?
To put this into perspective, there were three Packers receivers who caught as many balls as the Bears had total completions (10).
The Bears had 180 total yards vs 406 for the Packers. Not a single Chicago Bears offensive player was worth starting except one, Ka'Deem Carey, who went into the game with a 4% own percentage.
Alshon Jeffery had a team-high in targets with 11, but only caught 3 balls for 33 yards.
Don't forget about fantasy darling Cameron Meredith who had been a hot streak riding back-to-back games with at least 100 yards receiving. He finished the night with one catch for 12 yards.
Keep in mind that this was a Chicago Bears team who was playing one of the worst defensive teams in the league versus stopping the pass. The Packers are ranked dead-last in points against for WR.
Every player on the Chicago Bears offense cannot be trusted in fantasy lineups moving forward until Jay Cutler returns to quarterback the team.
