Mike Davis to be heavily involved in Week 7
The San Francisco 49ers will be without their star running back Hyde for Week 7 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Coach Chip Kelly said the 49ers will use a running back by committee featuring Mike Davis and Shaun Draughn. We think that Davis will get more touches than Draughn based on usage stats from last week when Hyde suffered the injury.
Last week Mike Davis had 6 touches on 23 snaps and Shaun Draughn only managed one touch and one target. The 49ers rely on the running game heavily and Carlos Hyde averages a little more than 20 touches per game.
Mike Davis should be a decent play for Week 7 for those facing a tough decision on a bye-week replacement or a Hyde replacement. Shaun Draughn will be in the mix but is not safe to start as of right now.
Mike Davis is only owned in 5% of fantasy leagues.
