Mike Gillislee is next man up if McCoy injury is serious
Buffalo Bills starting running back McCoy had to leave practice due to a tight hamstring. Further tests will be done to determine the severity of the injury.
Last week Mike Gillislee saw 6 carries for 60 yards and a touchdown. If McCoy's hamstring becomes a problem, then Gillislee would be quite the fantasy bargain play for Week 7.
There is no news out of Buffalo in regards to the severity of the injury but a speculative add of Mike Gillislee seems like a smart play this week. McCoy owners basically have no choice but to add him as an insurance policy.
McCoy has been extremely consistent this season and averages almost 21 touches per week. McCoy is ranked 7th in the league in total touches. If LeSean McCoy does not practice on Thursday or Friday then it is a lock that Gillislee would be the lead back. Keep a close eye on this as the week goes along.
Gillislee is currently owned in 11% of leagues.
