RB Jordan Howard takes control of Bears backfield
The Chicago Bears are banged up at quarterback and now that also includes the running back position. Langford is out 4 to 6 weeks, which gives Jordan Howard a big opportunity to be the lead back in Chicago.
The Bears haven't been too effective at running the ball so far this year and are ranked 30th with 70 yards per game. Langford has only averaged 3.7 yards a carry as the lead back for 116 yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile Jordan Howard has been slightly more effective with 12 attempts for 67 yards at a 5.6 average.
Picking up Howard is a must this week with Jeremy Langford out for so long. He should be involved in the passing game as well as the rushing game which makes him even more valuable in PPR leagues.
Still, even with Howard as the go-to running back in Chicago we still think of him as a RB2 due to how bad the Bears offense has been so far this year running the ball. The Bears also signed Joique Bell as insurance.
Regardless, Howard will get plenty of touches which makes him a must add in all formats.
