Titans Plan to Split Carries
The Tennessee Titans are planning to split carries between DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry.
Henry has shown during preseason that he is capable of carrying the load, and wants to be on the field. The Heisman Trophy winner was drafted to be the number two back and will likely stay in that position, but he will probably see more playing time than other number two running backs.
Coach Mularkey said they will see how things are going once the season starts, but they want Henry on the field as much as possible.
DeMarco Murray is flourishing with the Titans and is ready to move past last year's season with the Eagles. He looks quicker and is more comfortable with the coaches and offense this year. Murray is in a great spot as the star back and isn't concerned about how many carries he will get. He is ready to take the field and do what is best for the team.
Both Murray and Henry will have plenty of carries this year, no matter the split.
