NFL eliminates "Probable" from injury report and redefines others
In a rather shocking move, the NFL has decided to eliminate "probable" from the injury report. Along with this move, the NFL will redefine "questionable" and "doubtful".
Based on stats last year, if a player was listed as "probable"he had a 95% chance of playing.
For fantasy football players, this is a huge move.
Now any player who has a less than 100% chance of playing can be reported as questionable. Any player who has a less than 50% of playing can be reported as doubtful.
Our guess is that you will be seeing a lot of questionable players who will actually play in the game compared to last year. No matter what, it will be harder to determine which player's will play due to the revised injury rules.
The most important factor to consider when setting lineups is if the player practices during the week. A player who sits out on a Friday will almost certainly not play in the game. A player who sits out early in the week, but practices by Friday will likely play in the game.
Stick to those simple rules and chances are you will be just fine come Sunday.
