Fantasy Basketball Week 11 Trade Value Charts: Will Barton Ultimate Buy-Low Candidate!

Will Desvallees Dec 29th 12:56 PM EST.

Cam Reddish, one of the players we suggested you start this week, scored his second 30+ point game out of his last four contests last night. The Trade Value Charts have been like many fantasy basketball metrics at the moment, largely impacted by the spread of the COVID-19 virus that has sidelined players, as opposed to solely how efficiently players are producing at the moment. For the most part, the vast majority of players have seen their value increase over the last week, as many are returning to action after clearing Health & Safety protocol sentences. Taking this contextual information into consideration, here are some ballers to buy low or sell high based on FantasySP’s exclusive NBA Trade Value Charts.

Guards

PG/SG Talen Horton-Tucker, Los Angeles Lakers

I was surprised to see how low Horton-Tucker’s value has decreased. Over the last week, THT’s value dropped by -0.8 points (keep in mind that he is one of the few players who saw their trade values drop this week), bringing him down to a very low 10.33 points on the charts. However, Horton-Tucker has contributed significantly for the Lakers all season long. Due to both Injuries and COVID-19, Horton-Tucker is seeing 29.0 MPG this season and doing plenty with that time on the floor. With Anthony Davis out for the foreseeable future, THT could earn more playing time and scoring opportunities over the next few weeks. Now is the time to buy him at a discounted price.

SG Immanuel Quickley, New York Knicks

As the Knicks are progressively returning to health after a fairly serious outbreak of the virus, Immanuel Quickley has seen an uptick in minutes. Quickley will likely earn more playing time in the coming weeks as a result of Derrick Rose’s ankle surgery. Quickley is likely the Knicks' best available guard after Kemba Walker and perhaps Alec Burks. Before entering Health & Safety protocols, IQ had a stretch of strong games in the first half of December in which he mostly scored in double figures. Especially because the Knicks are now lacking depth among their available guards, Quickley has become a valuable asset in the Knicks' rotation. Although he only played 14 minutes in his first game back last night, he was praised by teammates and coaches and should start to see 25+ minutes per game once he builds back his stamina. And don't forget that Quickley dropped 24 points, converting seven of his 13 attempts from the field in his last game before being sidelined with COVID-19.

Wings

SG/SF Will Barton, Denver Nuggets

Will Barton’s trade value currently stands at 17.72, placing him below small forwards who do not produce as much as him on offense. This season, Barton is producing 15.1 PPG, 4.0 ASTs, and 5.2 REBs in 32.7 MPG. His role only increased in significance after the Nuggets learned that Michael Porter Jr. and PJ Dozier will miss the remainder of the season. Due to these injuries, Barton should have no problem logging 30+ minutes per game. Along with Jeff Green, Barton's numbers have benefited from these injuries. The team lacked depth even before the onslaught of the virus, and now Barton is one of Denver's most important assets behind reigning MVP Nikola Jokic. Barton’s value has ranged between 16 and 21 points this season, making him slightly undervalued this week, and certainly an interesting player to target. Because he averages close to 33 MPG on the season, he is a safe player to lock into your lineup each and every week. You might consider attempting to acquire him in exchange for a wing such as RJ Barrett, who has a similar value but has struggled with consistency throughout the season. While Barton is shooting 42.9% from the field this year, Barrett has converted just 39.7% of his attempts from the field.

Bigs

PF/C Richaun Holmes, Sacramento Kings

Richaun Holmes sustained an eye injury a few weeks ago, which kept Sacramento’s big man out of action for a handful of games in mid-December. Since returning on Dec. 22, he’s played three games and hasn’t found his groove yet. Nonetheless, Holmes is severely undervalued at the moment. Although he is averaging 12.8 PPG, 8.9 REBs, and one block per contest, Holmes saw his value drop down to 18.92 (close to his season-low value of approximately 18.0), making him affordable to pursue in Week 11. Holmes will improve in the coming days and should be back to logging double-doubles fairly consistently.

PF/C Daniel Theis, Houston Rockets

The German big man’s value dropped by -2.5 points over the last week, bringing him down to 10.64 on the Trade Value Charts. He missed a handful of games in December, however, he has had some impressive stat lines. On Dec. 16, Theis recorded a 22-point (8-12 FG) and 10-rebound double-double, earning him FanDuel Value Player of the night.

The main concern for Theis is how many minutes he can get per contest, not necessarily his efficiency on the floor. He is a career 54.4% shooter who can score in the paint and from range. Because his trade value has dropped close to single digits, he is a very affordable and efficient big to target in Week 11. There is also a good chance that he may be available on your league’s waiver wire, so make sure to take a look there first. That said, Theis' value will be very limited once Christian Wood returns to the lineup. Don't give up anyone with significant value for the Germam big man in the trade. However, if he's available on the waiver wire, scoop him up immediately and ride him until Wood returns to action.
