LaMarcus Aldridge Out
The San Antonio Spurs have announced that they will be without forward LaMarcus Aldridge indefinitely. Aldridge is set to undergo more testing to see how serious his heart condition is. As of now he has been diagnosed with a minor heart arrhythmia.
There is no question that the Spurs are making sure that Aldridge is healthy and that it is safe for him to continue playing.
Aldridge suffers from Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome and was diagnosed back in 2007. He has missed time in the past due to this condition, which causes a rapid heartbeat. Besides missing time in the 2011-2012 season, this will be the most significant time off the court for Aldridge.
The Spurs are dealing with several of their top players being injured at the moment. Kawhi Leonard is suffering from a concussion and going through the protocol so he can return to the court. Also Tony Parker and Dejounte Murray will not play in Saturday night's game against the Golden State Warriors.
There should be more news on Alrdridge next week, and hopefully he will be back in action soon.
