Blake Griffin likely to return this week
Blake Griffin has not played in a game since December 18th, but is expected to play sometime this week. So far, he has been ruled out from Monday's game but has a chance to play on Tuesday against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Griffin has been recovering from arthroscopic surgery to his right knee on December 20th and inside the window of his expected recovery time-frame of 4-6 weeks.
“He feels great,” Rivers said. “He told me he feels normal, which is good. We just want him to keep doing it, go through a couple more before we play him.”
Expect Marreese Speights to fill in for Griffin once again, but all signs point to the big man returning for the Clippers this week.
Owners may want to slot him in their weekly lineups this week in anticipation that he will return. His return will be a welcome addition to the offense and a big boost for guys like Raymond Felton and Austin Rivers.
