T.J. McConnell maintains starting role

Brant Tedeschi Jan 9th 3:32 PM EST.

T.J. McConnell and the Philadelphia 76ers faced off against the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday, winning 105 to 95. McConnell finished the game with 4 points, 6 assists, 2 steals, 8 rebounds, while shooting just 2/11 from the field in 36 minutes.

This marks the first game back for fellow teammate Sergio Rodriguez. Rodriguez is being eased back into the rotation and only managed to play 12 minutes.

We expect Rodriguez to eat into McConnell's minutes, but for McConnell to retain the starting job. After all, it's hard to ignore McConnell's 17 assist game just 3 days ago.

Keep a close eye on the situation moving forward to see how many minutes McConnell will end up playing per night, and if he'll retain the starting role for the rest of the season.
