Waiver Wire Help Keston Hiura (MIL, 2B)

Brant Tedeschi Jun 4th 11:45 AM EDT.

We all heard the sad news that Keston Hiura was sent down yesterday to the minors, despite pretty much killing it while in the majors. The Brewers claim the decision was all about roster considerations and making sure Travis Shaw has ample playing time.

Regardless of what the reason might be, the bottom line is that you have to roster Hiura and stash him for when he comes back to the majors. Hiura has a .281 average, 5 home runs, 8 rbi, and 6 runs scored in just 17 games played.

Just prior to getting optioned back to the minors, Hiura was really starting to heat up with 3 home runs in his last 5 games.

Obviously no one knows when he will be called back up this season, but anything is possible. Hiura's own percentage is already headed downward so it's quite possible fantasy owners in your league already dropped him.

Quickly pick him up and stash him because he will pay dividends down the road. If you have to drop a guy like Jesus Aguilar or Christian Walker, then so be it.

Hiura is currently available in 42% of leagues and growing.
