Reyes makes an interesting case for the waiver wire
Franmil Reyes is making a name for himself after being recently called up to play for the San Diego Padres on May 14th.
In 14 games, Reyes has swatted 4 home runs, 6 RBI, and 6 Runs scored while hitting just .182. Three of those home runs came in consecutive games.
The good news is that Reyes is hitting for power and is absolutely red hot to end the month of May. The bad news, like I've mentioned in previous posts, is that owning a player on the Padres is never a fun option.
The Padres are among the worst in scoring and can hardly get any players on base consistently. Reyes should only be owned in deeper leagues where outfielders are in high demand due to his team and very poor batting average.
Reyes is available in 70% of leagues as of today. I do not expect Reyes to be a fantasy savior by any means and will especially hurt teams who rely on batting average.
