Meadows could provide short-term fantasy value
Austin Meadows has been called up to the big leagues. He was drafted 9th in the 2013th draft and his path to the big leagues haven't exactly been smooth due to injuries.
Those of you who are looking to take a chance on Meadows need to know that his playing time may not be there in the long-term. However, he is still considered to be a top prospect with the Pirates.
The biggest missing piece in Meadows game is his lack of power and has managed just one home-run so far this season in the minors. He does maintain a solid average and has a knack for stealing bases.
Meadows is currently owned in roughly 23% of leagues and might be worth taking a chance on for deeper leagues and those looking to bolster steals and average.
Meadows time in the big leagues may be cut short as soon as Starling Marte comes back from the DL, which will become eligible next week.
