Chris Sale Continues to Dominate
Chris Sale and the Boston Red Sox dominated the Seattle Mariners by the score of 4-0. Sale ended the day with 7 IP, 3 hits, 1 walk, and 11 strikeouts.
Business as usual for Chris Sale. He has given up only 4 runs for the entire month of July and lowered his ERA to 2.37 and WHIP to 0.88.
Chris Sale is putting up major improvements this year compared to last year across every single category. His K/9 is 12.7 this season versus 8.7 the same time last year. Another glaring stat is that he has lowered his ERA from 3.18 last year to 2.37 this year. His WHIP was already quite good last year at 1.01, but has managed to get it under 0.90 this year.
Needless to say, he should be starting in all lineups and is probably the main reason for many fantasy team's competitive stats in pitching.
