Felix Hernandez Out 3-4 Weeks
The Seattle Mariners announced on Friday that pitcher Felix Hernandez will miss the next three to four weeks due to right shoulder bursitis.
Hernandez has been with the Mariners since 2006 and has managed to make at least 30 starts each season, even when experiencing injuries. Last season Hernandez missed his record and only started 25 games, due to missing two months with a calf injury.
Hernandez left his last start on Tuesday night early throwing only 48 pitches and allowed four runs. The Mariners know Hernandez has experienced shoulder issues before and knew it was time to take him out of the game.
Hernandez is still owned in 99% of leagues even though he hasn't played at the top of his game in a few seasons. He is the type of player that you want to hold on to.
