Madison Bumgarner Will Not Need Surgery
Left-hander Madison Bumgarner will not need to have surgery on his pitching shoulder. Bumgarner sprained his shoulder while he was dirt biking in Colorado after playing a game against the Rockies.
This is great news for the Giants, their fans, and all fantasy owners! Surgery would have kept him out until next season most likely. Bumgarner will still be sidelined for the next two months, and will be reevaluated after that time. He is scheduled to begin light rehab in less than a week.
The Giants were happy to confirm that there was no structural damage to his shoulder. So for now Bumgarner can be seen wearing a sling on his arm and he is still dealing with bruised ribs.
