Carlos Gonzalez Has Bruised Right Hand
Right fielder Carlos Gonzalez is suffering from a bruised right hand after being hit by a fastball thrown by Clayton Kershaw. Gonzalez went down during the fourth inning of Wednesday night's game and it was easy to see he was in pain.
The preliminary x-rays came back negative so that is a good sign for the Colorado Rockies. Gonzalez hopes to be back in action for Friday night's game. His pinky finger is wrapped up at the moment, and the Rockies might chose to give Gonzalez a few extra days off to be on the safe side. So far this season Gonzalez is off to a pretty slow start. He has a batting average of .175 and only one home run.
Gonzalez is owned in 99% of leagues and being started in 71%. Fantasy owners should not being willing to get rid of Gonzalez yet, he is worth hanging on to.
