Rays infielder Daniel Robertson went 2-for-4 with three runs scored and a walk Sunday vs. the Red Sox.
Spin: Robertson has been one of the few bright spots in the Tampa Bay lineup thus far, hitting .333/.556/.417 through a tiny sample of 18 plate appearances. The former top prospect has drawn six walks in that time, showing a keen eye at the plate, though his five punchouts aren't exactly encouraging. The 24-year-old didn't do much at the plate in 254 PAs last season, but he should have ample opportunity to rack up plate appearances against left-handed starting pitching with the Rays in 2018. Robertson is fairly light on power and speed, but he could be a useful platoon bat against southpaws by posting solid average and OBP marks in those favorable matchups.
