The Broncos have shored up their secondary with another veteran, signing Law.

Impacts: The 35-year-old Law, who has been to five Pro Bowls, gives the Broncos five players over 30 in the defensive backfield that now sports a combined 20 Pro Bowl selections. To make room, the Broncos waived defensive back Jack Williams. Law's signing also likely means reduced playing time in the nickel and dime packages for rookie Alphonso Smith.

Indianapolis Colts safety Bob Sanders has been placed on injured reserve and will require season-ending surgery to repair a torn biceps, the team revealed today. In a further blow to the Colts and their defensive secondary, starting cornerback Kelvin Hayden is expected to miss up to four weeks with a knee injury. (The Indianapolis Star)

FF Today's Take: Sanders has missed an absurd 40 of 87 possible NFL games so far through 6 seasons, so, though he's a star, the Colts defense are used to being without his services. With Hayden out for the next four weeks, the Colts are looking a little depleted at DB, especially facing QBs Matt Schaub, Tom Brady, Joe Flacco, and Schaub again over that stretch.
