"I want to finish my career here," Ortiz said. "I think I still have another three or four good years in me." He also said his injured wrist is completely healthy, and he plans on starting to swing earlier this offseason. http://www.fantasysp.com/player/mlb/David_Ortiz/618586 618586 Tue, 03 Nov 2009 15:08:02 EDT kffl.com http://www.fantasysp.com/player/mlb/David_Ortiz/618586 Big Papi says he's still good David Ortiz claimed on Tuesday to have "another three or four good years in me," according to the Boston Herald.

Our View: He will be in the final year of four-year contract next season, and looking for a new deal at the age of 35. He has said he wants to end his career in Boston. Looking at his .238 average from last season, he may have already. It's impossible to believe he will have another 28 homer, 99 RBI campaign in 2010 if he doesn't get his average back near his career level of .282.

He ranked at or near the top of the league in both homers and RBIs over the last four months, which helped him salvage quality numbers in the power categories. With that said, Big Papi’s days as a blue-chip basher are in the past, as he will turn 34 in November. http://www.fantasysp.com/player/mlb/David_Ortiz/591217 591217 Mon, 19 Oct 2009 3:04:12 EDT mlb.com http://www.fantasysp.com/player/mlb/David_Ortiz/591217 Ortiz wants to be in better shape In an effort to stave off another epic, season-beginning slump, David Ortiz has pledged to get into better shape this offseason, according to the Boston Herald.

Our View: He is going to spend a good chunk of his offseason at Athletes' Performance in Tempe, Arizona. It could enhance his early season performance in 2010, but maybe not as much as some of his past methods.

Ortiz has brutal postseason David Ortiz finished the ALDS 1-for-12 with four strikeouts as the Red Sox got swept by the Angels.

Our View: After a wretched start to the season, Ortiz got things going in the second half to put up somewhat respectable numbers. However, he was awful in the postseason.
