Our View: Wood is owed $10.5 million next season and has an $11 million dollar vesting option in 2011 if he closes out 55 games next year (a mark he will not likely reach). The Indians would like to unload Wood's salary and move young, affordable flamethrower Chris Perez into the full-time closer spot, but in a closer-rich offseason they may have a hard time finding someone interested in Wood.
