Lehtonen out another 6-8 weeks
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Thrashers goaltender Kari Lehtonen will be sidelined an additional 6-8 weeks after undergoing another back surgery.
Our View: Lehtonen still hadn't recovered from his original back surgery this offseason, and he's already had another one. This doesn't bode well for him or the Thrashers and he won't be back until the end of 2009 at the earliest. The most recent procedure was performed to correct bone edges in his back that were pressing on nerves. Now all anyone can do is sit back and wait to see if it worked.
