Frolov moves to top line
The LA Times reports that due to the injury to Ryan Smyth, Alexander Frolov has moved to the top line and will be asked to shoot much more often.
Our View: Frolov has plenty of ability, but is a streaky player. He tends to wow fans, but then end up in coach Murray's doghouse, so to prevent against the later the team is asking him to pepper the net with shots. Smyth is out for a month and was the go-to-guy in front of the net on the Kings first line, so Anze Kopitar and Justin Williams will be asked to step up in that aspect of their games. Frolov has an opportunity to shine here and could be a nice play moving forward for owners as his fantasy needle is pointing North with the move. Expect more points while playing along side the flashy Kopitar.
